Totk would have been a better game if the Divine Beasts were still around just out of action, and you could still visit them and hear the Champions ghosts.

It would have no impact on the story, but you could just go and keep them company sometimes and tell them stories and they could tell you stuff about their old lives. Sometimes Mipha talks about how some Zora kids came swimming past Ruta and she made it's trunk spray water to suprise and amuse them. Sometimes Revali let's slip that some of the Rito kids have been leaving flower crowns for him at Medoh's feet. Urbosa tells you about how happy she feels when the music from the Gerudo Town festival travels on the winds and she can dance along and pretend she's still there. Daruk laughs with you about how young Gorons have started trying to prove their strength by visiting Rudania and trying to lift one of her massive feet - and sometimes he commands it to lift a leg to make it a little easier for the underdogs.

You could do tiny side quests by bringing them old items from their homes or to solve little issues for them regarding things happening close by.

Idk I know they moved onto the afterlife at the end of BOTW but I still think it would have been cute. I think I just miss Revali.
