Another Christmas commission, this is a Zig-Zag Byzantine bracelet in brass and red tiger's eye stones. The beads were an odd duck to photograph, judging by the reflections in the picture I used a little too much light in the tent. Live and learn! The recipient really enjoyed this bracelet, so I was glad to have made it. Brass, red tiger's eye, gold plate.
This is the first of my Christmas commissions, a rubber Half Persian 3-in-1 bracelet. This was for a little girl who adores My Little Pony, and since she likes all of the characters equally, I made her a Princess Celestia themed bracelet. She'll be able to grow into it and I am told that it was well received! Rubber, anodized alumnium.
Hi folks, I live! I've been around, it is just between my new job and brains that refuse to be happy, I haven't had much to post. I did get a couple of commissions for Christmas however, and will be posting those very soon. For now, enjoy this present I made for a dear friend of mine, a scale turbine necklace and matching scale bracelet. The silver scales are the cool 'NASA Aluminum' that The Ring Lord made, they are quite light and thin. Learning how to stabilize a three-scale strip was interesting and quite the learning experience. I think it turned out pretty good though! Aluminum, stainless steel.
This was a commission for a European 4-in-1 bracelet inspired by RWBY. The commissioner wanted something simple, but still reminded them of Ember Celica, the weapon of their favorite character, Yang Xiao Long. So a nice little Euro cuff was the way to go; my apologies to the commissioner if they get asked if they really dig Charlie Brown or the Pirates, the Penguins, or the Steelers. This is a Great Southern Gathering weave bracelet done up in green and gold anodized aluminum. This was my first time working with this weave, and although it was a pain in the butt to start, it was pretty easy to work up. It is super lightweight and fun to wear! Want one of your own? Two items for an art exchange with an awesome person! First up is a romanov pendant made in anodized aluminum with an aqua bohemica crystal. It is finished with a silver bail and silver-filled chain because why not? Second is a rubber helm weave bracelet with anodized aluminum. The rings are a matte frost color, which goes well with the matte color of the rubber o-rings. The bracelet was a surprise add-on until I remembered I ought to ask them if they were allergic to rubber or not. Ah well.
A birthday present for a great friend, this is a Phaedra weave pendant in bronze with a Moss Green crystal. It was fun to pick out this project with them, so not so much a surprise but the gift isn't any less from the heart! Bronze, crystal, gold plated chain. Want one of your own? A compass pendant made on commission, this time the hematite came in half greenish-yellow and half bluish-purple. These kits are by HyperLynks and are fun to make, even if sometimes the rubber doesn't want to play nicely while you weave it. Hematite, rubber, aluminum, stainless steel. Want one of your own? Another Galaxy Necklace, this time made for a commission. The crystals in this one are Jet Hematite, which lends a different look from the previous piece I made in this pattern. Hey, so I finally did the 'proper' mailler thing and made a dice bag. This was my first time making a European 4-in-1 sheet and making a pouch so that was a nice learning experience! It holds a lot of dice, and was made as a birthday present for a good friend of mine. For some reason this crystal was a pain in the butt to get a proper photo of. This is a Sea Urchin Round Stone in Crystal AB, set into a Phaedra weave. Life has been fairly crummy lately but I promised more posts so here we are! This is a Galaxy Necklace kit from HyperLynks, using Volcano coated Denim Blue rivoli crystals. It was pretty fun to work with, and the instructions can be found in the Oct-Nov 2015 issue of Step By Step Wire Jewelry. I know various places now offer the kits with instructions though, if you can't find an issue or hate digital ones. Aluminum, rubber, steel, Swarovski crystals.

I am a bit late getting photos on this one (and a lot of others) up, but the past couple of months have been pretty crazy in some bad ways. Yet life goes on, and today there are these photos! This was a commission for Christmas, so I was in a hurry to get pictures of this before giving it to the client. I'm digging the new photo tent, I just need to remember to slap on a black backround for silver in the future. This is a silver-fill bracelet done up in an open round weave with clear crystals. For textural interest, it is alternating between smooth and twisted wire rings. The crystals get kind of lost in this one due to their lack of color, but it makes for a fun surprise when the bracelet catches light. Silver-fill, crystal. Want one of your own? When life hands you the wrong size rings, make a Romanov pendant. This thing is chunky, made from twisted silver filled 16g 5.5mm rings. I was debating between using an 8mm or 10mm bead for the center and ultimately went with the 8. It almost gets lost in the weave, but the size allows the weave to hang freely. Either way it is certianly a statement piece.
RIP Jasper 2006-2016 In honor of his passing today I have decided to post this shot of Jasper wearing a bracelet as a tiara. He was very near and dear to me and his loss will be grieved for a long time. Time heals all wounds, but you were a pretty cool dude, buddy. See you on the other side.
