Watching IchiHimes really put all the blame on Pierrot for people not liking the ship is another level comedy.

Check the manga, there really isn't much content. Why is this so hard to admit that their whole dynamic was dominated by Orihime's one-sided feelings that low-key bordered obsession?

Then check IchiRuki dynamic and their endless stares full of admiration and respect for each other. I have no idea why Kubo had the need to draw them with starry eyes every time they saw each other. He did, he still made Ichihime canon. That still doesn't take away the great build-up IR had and doesn't make IH a likeable ship.

Miss Rukia Kuchiki was not particularly inclined towards marriage. Though declared a diamond of the first water, her marriage prospects required that she endure the ghastly Almack's lemonade and the attentions of a suitor she considered much like a brother.

Lord Ichigo Shiba, the Marquess Kurosaki, was not looking for a bride, and had no interest in the sweet-voiced creature who had so determinedly set her cap for him.

A Miss and a Marquess meet, argue, and form a plan: to dissuade their unwanted suitors, they will pretend an attachment and courtship. It is all a ruse.

Until, of course, it isn't.
