       it’s possibly meant to be flattering--- akaashi had recently focused his incessant frustrations on the fact that he wasn’t as powerful as he might’ve liked to be, &. the entire team hadn’t been pardoned from his quiet grumbles ( though they were many &. frequent, depending on how bad of a mood he was in at the time ). however... saying he looked as if he’d GAINED WEIGHT lately... was that meant to be a compliment ?

        eyes narrow as he grounds himself by biting his tongue. it doesn’t show--- luckily. he’s always been keen on hiding his dismay with people he’s not familiar with; somehow, people always perceive him as being politer than he imagines he truly is. after all, with the digital camera in his hands being toyed with impatiently, &. the irritation sinking down to the pit of his stomach, it’s clear to him how easily annoyed he can become... though he’s only waiting for this person to move to the side, clearing a path for his picture.
