About Keisha Starr

Born as Keisha Wizzart in Baltimore, Maryland, Keisha Starr has always had a passion for creative writing and music. Throughout her school years, Keisha wrote school plays, cheers, and poetry, becoming a published author when she was 12 years old. In 2011, her short story “Dying to be a Star," was published in Nikki Turner’s Street Chronicles: A Woman’s Work, and was a proven success. Keisha Starr's 2nd published book was her anthology in Diary of a Boss Chic, which features her short story “V-Power.” Her lasted urban fiction titled, “Jamaican Me Go Crazy” was released under her very own publishing company, ExSTARdinary Publishing. Keisha has created a platform for authors and aspiring authors to both network and be trained on how to publish their first book. Her group ExSTARdinary Writers has monthly meetups for writers both online and in-person in the DMV area. Additionally, she offers authors assistance in piecing together their novels and offers publishing and distribution deals via ExStardinary Publishing. Keisha has a PhD in Multidisciplinary Approach to Human Services with a Specialization in Marriage and Family Counseling. She attended Coppin State University, University of Baltimore as well as Capella University.
