Lexa’s gaze was trained on the man before her, fingers gripping the bottle so tight she was surprised it didn’t shatter in her hands. She dared him to say something, ready for a fight. She relaxed her grip from the bottle as Kelsey led the man away. “On the contrary. Probably best you did. I was ready to put his head through a wall and I’m not sure how many bar fights I can get into without them banning me from this place.”
Once she returned, she sat down next to Lexa, looking over at her as she spoke. “Last thing we need is another bar brawl. So it was a good thing that I came in when I did. Besides can’t have you banned from the only place that serves drinks in this town.” She nodded towards the bartender and held up two of her fingers. Getting them a couple of drinks. “The drinks are on me.” She said this after the bartender came over and set the shots down in front of them.
