We are about 10-15 years away from this becoming a reality
pose studies with my babygirl
The stuff about Hiyuki from chapter 123 is still genuinely frying me. The Sorcery Bureau’s best bet was putting a six month old on the frontlines??? They expected her to be able to deal with all of the Mikaboshi Guardians??? Mind you they viewed this as a more viable alternative to letting Kunishige cook. Maybe there’s a lot more to Flame Bone of the Starving than we currently know but until/unless more info gets revealed Hiyuki is a literal hydrogen baby. Absolutely insane upscale ngl
"why can't they just be friends?" not in the homophobic sense, but in the "in your need to center romance in everything you are missing the whole point of the media in question" sense
Calling yourself a monster would be too kind
The more I think about it the more I warm up to the idea of Akemura being the one to slaughter his clan near the end of the war. I think him seeing both sides of the Soga-Mikaboshi feud as threats to the citizens of Japan that must be eliminated would really suit his character given what we now know about how scummy we now know the Soga clan. It would also add to his line about the country being its citizens and wanting to protect the citizens in contrast to the Soga clan’s philosophy of prioritizing protecting their own political power and legitimacy. Only problem is that it’s kind of weird that him doing this wasn’t mentioned in the present but I’m sure if this theory were to come true Hokazono could come up with a satisfactory explanation

September 6th was Takeru Hokazono's birthday, so I drew a commemorative piece. Thank you for being such an inspiration!

Catching up on art posts, very honored and proud to share this oil painting which went live this past Friday, a work created for Elliot Lang's 'Character In Context' show at the A.R. Mitchell Museum in Trinidad, Colorado. Opening is June 5th (sorry, I will not be there) Link to the on line catalog with the few dozen talented artist's contributions with preliminary studies and final paintings in the comments below.

I’ve always held the opinion that Hokazono is portraying the Soga and Mikaboshi clans as not being as different as they both like to think they are but this chapter really cements it. Something tells me that the Soga higher ups would not be nearly as willing to sacrifice Chiaki if she was from the family’s main branch. Plus there’s the possible implication that historically they discretely killed anyone not from the main branch who manifested the power of prophecy in order to maintain the main branch’s supremacy. Then of course the Socerey Bureau goes along with it despite their being another promising potential solution because the Soga clan are there benefactors. Not to mention the fact that they also plan on using six month old Hiyuki as a human weapon. Very messed up stuff all around
I’m also 90% Akemura is going to appear next chapter because no way he’d be okay with this arrangement even if Chiaki herself technically agreed to it. I think this will be related to how he and Kunishige meet and befriend each other

I watched the Backrooms movie today. Granted I don’t watch horror movies often but it was probably the most stressed I’ve ever been watching a movie ngl…great horror. I honestly really like that almost nothing got explained and I think that was the correct writing decision. The movie being confusing and surreal is the point. It fits the horror of the Backrooms as a concept
