Goodbye to my dance blog

I truly love this team and dance more than anything and will definitely miss it so much. I am going to miss it for sure but it is all done now. The past 16 years of my life are over. For sure a hard thing to think about but I am very excited to move on for what the future holds. I will forever love my dance team and my coaches but I know they are excited to see what I can achieve. This is a goodbye to my blog and it has been very fun sharing amazing dance memories with you.

We had our banquet to celebrate our season. I loved our banquet this year so much. One of my friends made a joke about the state medals pink. So they bought us pink medals for state participants which was so fun. I got the hawkette award which was an award that I am very proud of. It is one important award for our team.

Now that state is over we have All State. This is a basically a convention of the best dancers from each team. Every team in Minnesota has 1-4 dancers chosen by the board for kick and jazz. We learned 3 dances and it was so fun meeting so many new people from different team. It was truly such a fun experience.

How state went

State is always my favorite time of year. This year was especially hard because I am a senior. It was also hard because we had such high expectations on us. We won state last year which made this year very important. We got third in Jazz which was so amazing. We got third last year so we weren't expecting much. In kick we tied for fourth place. Which was very unfortunate. We wanted to win so bad. We have won at every competition the whole year and then not winning at state defiantly was surprising. It was truly a very hard experience. But it was so much fun and I will always remember it. I have all state this weekend. Which I am very excited for and will update you guys.

We unfortunately did not do as well as we were hoping. Last year we won in kick. This year we got 4th. Which is still very good. We made it to finals and had a very good performance. I will forever love this team and it was such a great experience. I will for sure miss this team.

We did so good. We danced the best we have ever done. tWe got third in state for Jazz. Tomorrow is kick day. We are very excited!! Plus I got a sweatshirt which is always good.

We just got done with pre-lims and we are going to finals. We dance fourth which is very good. This is my friend from another team who also made it. She is in a different catagory but she also danced amazing. She is also my roommate for next year which is so fun.

Good morning! We just woke up and it is time to start the day. We just had breakfast. We dance prelims at 2:00. I will update you guys how it goes!

It is time for bed. Tomorrow we have Jazz day! We are very excited and it is going to be so good:) We just ate a bunch of snacks and had some candy. My hotel room is all my closet friends so it has been very fun.

We arrived at Target Center for state. Every year the Thursday night we go to Buca for dinner! Jazz is Friday and kick is Saturday. We got chick parm which was very good. Had a great night with my jazz team. It will sure be a night to remember.

Saturday 02/10/24 we found out that we are going to state in both kick and jazz! I am super excited for this coming week and I can't wait to keep you updated.

The start of my blog

Hello! For my English class we were asked to create a blog and write about a topic of our choice! For my blog, I decided I am going to write and update about my dance life and the week leading up to state and all that goes on after! Dance takes up a lot of my time and I spent most of my life dedicated to it. This is my final week of dance forever. This week is the most exciting week and what we have worked all season for. I will update everyday this week on what we are doing and how things go. Come along with me to see how everything goes!
