In all her days of existing, not once had Violet ever encountered a zombie. She’s been in contact with plenty varying creatures who were not quite human (and even bedded a few) but not once had she seen such a ghastly sight. With rapid reflexes (and the stranger’s ever helpful hand) that most would not expect from her she’s up and following after the stranger who knocked her down, still holding his hand. Running quite efficiently in five inch heels (thank you very much), she wondered if she could stop the zombie herself. She didn’t think her powers would help in this situation though and the last thing she wanted was to drain them in vain, she hasn’t fed in a while so she can’t just waste her energy. “shouldn’t…we try to kill it?..” Violet huffed as they ran.
"I mean... If you have a way to kill it, go right ahead..." Kenny panted. Right now, he felt pretty helpless against the zombie; he didn't even have so much as a stick. He'd thought a lot about weapons recently, but hadn't decided on purchasing one just yet. If this had been Natalie or Rowan, however, killing the zombie would have been his first instinct, weapon or not.

The music pouring from his speakers was both exactly what she would have expected, and yet vastly different. Sometimes Kenny seemed like the person who was strict about his music, never listening to anything other than the kind of music you could brag about and chill out to. But then he also seemed exactly like the kind of person who would be able to not only stand, but choose to listen to music like Shower by Becky G. She gave him a mildly incredulous glance before saying, “I wasn’t aware my best friend was a thirteen year old girl at heart, though somehow I’m unsurprised.” She was going to push on his shoulder as she would have normally, but then realised he was driving and that was probably a bad idea.
She laughed a little, but then said, “Not that I can blame you. I’m a sucker for music I can dance to.” As she said this she found her head bobbing in beat to the music, allowing herself to find enjoyment in the pop music flowing through the speakers.
At the mention of the nearest bowling alley, of course the first thing that popped into her head was an inappropriate comment. After all, she was Keegan O’Malley, and life with her wouldn’t be the same without a few well-placed crude jokes. “Lucky Strike, aye? Sounds like the kind of place you go if you’re looking to get lucky, and I don’t mean with the pins.” She shook her head, amused by her inner fourteen year old boy.
"But hey, don’t worry, there will be no jumping tonight. I won’t run off with any randoms only to have you find me in an alley way again. Don’t need any replays of that night," she says with a chuckle, the memory coming to mind.
"It’s catchy!” was Kenny’s only defense; although that was what he’d tried to tell Sawyer when she’d caught him singing the selfie song, and it wasn’t exactly effective. Keegan started moving to the music, though, and he grinned, glad that she was enjoying it too. He wouldn’t deny that there was much better music they could be listening to, but he was in no way a music snob and would play anything that put him in a good mood. “Exactly,” he said, following her lead by moving quite awkwardly in his seat in something that could probably be called dancing, if you squinted a little. “That’s what I always say, but Nat rolls her eyes every time! See, this is why we need to hang out more.” Then he chuckled nervously, a little embarrassed to admit that he still pointed out the name of the bowling alley the way he used to point out “69” any time he saw it during his freshman days. “Good name, though,” he said, clearing his throat as he made another turn. “Oh, God, please don’t. That was awkward,” he said, but he had to smile at the memory. It had been awkward, sure, but the guy had run off in a hurry and he’d had the chance to hang out with Keegan outside of Fairchild’s Felicity for the first time. Not for long, of course, since he’d been looking pretty frantically for his phone, but still, it was more a fond memory than anything else. “Alright, here we are: The Lucky Strike,” Kenny announced as he turned into the parking lot. The area was saturated with the smell of deep fried food, and his stomach growled. “And I want a corn dog. And some fries, and maybe popcorn. So when we get in there, it’s food first, then the game. Sound good?"

“Lucifer?" Thomas leaned his head away from the cat as it hissed, raising his eyebrows. "Well, maybe I give off some sort of clueless-human vibe and he actually wants to kill me," he suggested. He wasn’t exactly used to being around cats, never having had pets while growing up, so it seemed unlikely to him that the cat actually liked him, of all things.
"Yeah, maybe that's it," Kenny said with a grin. "Either way, though, I doubt he'll come with me, so maybe we better walk over to Rowan's house to take him home? At least, as long as you're not late for anything. If you've got to go, I'm sure Lucy can be forced, he'll just probably attack me." He'd never even been able to get close to Lucy. He was sure it didn't help that he always smelled like Scout.
"I think … fuck. Yeah. It’s not so good, Kenny.” Evangeline bit her lip hard, trying not to scream in pain. “Could you take me to the hospital? Thanks.” She looked up at Kenny hopefully, digging her fingernails into her palms as she spoke.
"Yeah, of course. Do you, uh, need any help?" He didn't want to put an arm around her if her shoulder was sore, but he also wasn't sure if she had any other injuries that might cause her to limp.
Asher watched as the younger man approached him, once again doing everything in his power to ignore him, to then move straight onto his dog. The man knew it was a whole pride thing probably, but to him, it seemed childish. It wasn’t as if the man was attempting to keep Natalie to himself. Staying quiet for a few more seconds, Asher cleared his throat loudly. “Hey there, Kenneth. What brings you out here?”
"It’s Kenny, actually,” Kenny said, trying his very best to keep the ice out of his voice. He mostly succeeded, but he couldn’t keep the frown off of his face. When Natalie was around, he always made a lot more of an effort to be friendly with Asher. Now, though, he didn’t feel the same responsibility. But, because he considered himself a generally nice person, he would try. For Natalie. “I was just taking Scout for a run." That much was obvious, but he forced himself not to add the childish duh. "Uh... What about you?"
”No I’ll definitely return it, don’t you worry!”
”Most of the time, yeah! Or it’ll just say ‘some old folk story’, without actually giving you the name of anyone in particular. A lot of the older stories have that problem, they’ve all been passed down through oral tradition so it’s near impossible to figure out who wrote it!”
"Oh, makes sense. That's pretty cool, actually. I've gotta go get my sister from school, but next time we meet you should lend me one of your favourites!"
