I don't like being sick. Being sick is the worst, and what is also the worst is that I get way more sick than Crystal. And what's even worse than that is Pepper terrorizing me when I'm sick and trying to sleep. Being sick is the worst.

I'd be fussy too, if everyone around me were eating waffles and I couldn't have any. Kara has been showing an interest food lately, so she was a little peeved with us when we took our new waffle iron for a spin this past week. A bottle of milk just can't compete with a delectable syrup smothered waffle.

You'll always be royalty to us, General Organa. #RIPCarrieFisher Sorry for the lack of comics. I was sick over the holidays, so it's been a bit of a trial getting back into the groove.

Two more sleeps! It's that time of year again! That's right, folks; a new Star Wars movie is coming out!

Pretty sure Kara is on the nice list this year. It's Kara's first Christmas, so that means it was also her first time meeting Santa. She was awesome, and didn't cry at all. In fact, she was super serious both times she met him. All business, this kid.

Don't feed the Potato Cats. Pepper eats potato chips. We don't feed him potato chips. He just takes them. You can't leave a bag of potato chips open when he's around.

Look, up in the sky... Pokemon came out last week, so you lucky to even be reading this right now. However, in between catching awesome new pocket monsters, we took some breaks to play around and Kara and I discovered that her new favourite thing is called Space Baby, and it's when you fly her around the house on her tummy. It's basically the coolest and most fun thing to do ever, so we do it all the time.

No cheat codes required. I was one of the fortunate few to pick up the NES Classic Edition last Friday, so our weekend was pretty filled with 8-bit Nintendo goodness.

She's a natural. It was nice to cap off a very busy couple of weeks with a visit with our old friend, Stephen.

Anybody else still nursing a candy hangover? It was both our first Halloween in the new house, as well as Kara's first Halloween, so we were really excited for Trick or Treaters showing up at our front door. I guess nobody else got the memo, as it was pretty dead all night, but that's OK; more candy for me and Ben.

My wallet has never felt lighter. We've discovered that Kara's favorite activity is going to the mall. This is not surprising considering how much time Crystal and I spend there. Heck, it's where we met! I'm never going to have any money ever again, am I?

Permit me to steal this joke from every family sitcom ever. Does every baby think it's hilarious to pee as soon as you open their diaper, or are these just the unique comedy stylings of Kara Rey?

This one was done on time, I swear! I've just been forgetting to post it since Tuesday... I blame sleep deprivation. We had a late night Saturday. But since we were up so late anyways, why not take advantage and do a little gaming? Ben couldn't quite keep up with us though.

I should have never shown Pepper those Garfield comics... You can't leave these two alone for a second! Pepper has been somewhat jealous of Kara lately, so he's getting up to all kinds of mischief. He is LITERALLY bouncing off the walls.

Eye of the Beholder

Some of our friends are more comfortable holding a baby than others...

We had some friends over on the weekend to meet Kara. Some of them were better with kids than others. You've heard of "baby wearing," but have you heard of "kitten wearing?" Life is different once you have a baby in the house; even if you're a cat. Pepper has been a little jealous the past few weeks, and whenever Kara is getting attention, he decides it's a good time to test boundaries until someone notices him. Good thing Ben doesn't mind spending some quality time with the little fuzzball.

I think the focus of the comic might be shifting in the coming months... can't imagine why. Life has been crazy, obviously, but three weeks ago, the moment finally came. Crystal and I welcomed Kara Rey into the world, and as you can guess, Uncle Ben was pretty excited.
