Ophelia (2018) + Ophelia’s teal gown

Work in progress… for a silver-themed cosplay… got a corset that had been returned, but it was silver with black lace and the black (though lovely) didn’t work with the rest of the look. So removed the “sleeve” appliqués, and then painted the lace and appliqués and binding with a pearlescent white (Jacquard fabric paint), and replaced the black laces with grey parachute cured cord. Two coats of paint and it’s silver! Going to add some pearl beads and other embellishments next… (final photo after two coats of paint)

We both really cut it close, but I'm so glad that we were able to finish our costumes in time for Friday of ALA, because these photos are amazing!! Thank you to both Christy and Aleks for them (Christy for getting me motivated to complete Sabriel and Aleks for all the hard work on the photos!)

(There is also definitely more, but I didn't want to hog all of them. Will post more later! 😘)

Brand new here so starting with one of my favorite Arwen cosplays (please forgive the lack of a wig): her cranberry velvet dress. I enjoyed making this last year, and have since used it as a template for two other costumes. All photos taken by my partner ✨
