It's truly hard to believe our Luke is 15 now, and a SOPHMORE & OUR LAST KID IN HIGH SCHOOL!! Our last baby in school without the girls is WEIRD. Luke wasn't excited for his first day back as most aren't. I certainly wasn't, but it was better than having anymore time off. After almost 10 weeks off, you get bored. But, he took the time to get ready in his new clothes, new Vans from London, new haircut and that made him smile a tiny bit. If you all don't mind sending and wishing here on this post a good first day and week for our Luke, I'd greatly appreciate it!! Will take pictures of when he comes home today outside. 15 years ago today our last baby was born into this bright, crazy, wonderful world. After a miscarriage after the girls two healthy pregnancies, I was told by my doctor we could try again, but had to wait four months. Well we waited for me to heal after one of the most devastating times in my life. After my D&C and four months of healing, I bought a book on how to guarantee a boy or girl pregnancy. Well Trevor and I followed the books instructions for our boy to be! 9 months later our Luke Ian Gardner born on 8/18/2004, weighed 7lbs 15 oz and 21 inches at 11:37 am entered our world, completed our family and has given us such joy, belly laughter, typical boy moments and overall love!! We wouldn't be the #Gardner5 without him. Our Luke was born the year of the monkey and he's certainly that. He's also kind, sweet, giving, loving, sarcastic, super smart, very much a carbon copy of his father Trevor. Yesterday we celebrated Lukes 15th b-day with a full day of WATER PARK FUN @#carowinds . It's a 3 hour drive each way, 6 hour roundtrip drive, so needless to say we got up super early and got home super late! But what a fantastic day spent on waterslides, lazy river, wave pool, lounging out and eating lunch and singing Happy Birthday with a delicious funnel cake. We finished the day with a ride on the swings that take you up and up and spin you around till you feel like your going to puke. Then out of nowhere a huge thunderstorm broke out, drenched us all and left with 2 gorgeous rainbows in the space of an hour. Another FABULOUS TIME being had on top Snowshoe Mountain. We have just enjoyed 2 hours snow tubing down a very fast set of 8 snow lanes. The heavier you are the faster you go! Needless to say, Trevor and I beat the kids and shot past the safety barrier. This sits up on top of the final stopping spot before you collide into an inflatable barrier. #Gardner's got in late last night after a 6 hour drive from #raleighnc. To #washingtondc. We brought our RV and are staying at a lovely campground called #cherryhillpark . We have planned a fill 2 days of museums, sight seeing. An #escaperoomgame. And the cherry on top, a #philcollins concert on Sunday night. We started our adventure out right with brunch at #hipcityveg -just beyond delicious. I bought my first #boxedwater and enjoyed a #vegan buffalo #chickn salad and #sweetpatoe fries. CONSISTENCY IS KEY TO EVERYTHING WE WANT IN LIFE!! This is me, finished my 2 mile jog, feeling empowered and unstoppable. We all know how we do anything, is how we do everything. Meaning prioritizing time, your health, your money habits, your relationship with money, with your family and your partner/spouse etc. I'm turning 45 in September & for the first time in my life I'm the heaviest I've ever been without being pregnant. I gained 25lbs with 1st baby, 16 lbs with 2nd baby, I was always sick, and 20 lbs with 3rd baby. Its the worst feeling when you cannot fit into comfortably the clothes you've had and size since High school. Yes, I do have clothes still from HS. my fave that are retro. So you look at what you've been doing or not doing consistently to see a pattern. For me its was living fulltime in our RV for a year. We had many weekly adventures. But being in 37 feet or 444 sq feet your walking to and from is very minimal. The sitting and working on your laptop was 95% of my 5 days a week. Same goes with your personal finances. How much money is coming in? How much is your standard of living costing you? How much money do you preplan or budget or save? If the answer is not consistent with any of it your finances, your healthy eating, your exercise etc. How do you expect to pay for more or realize you have more bills than income. How do you change your habits in your eating and working out to lose the weight? Its putting #VALUE IN YOU, your #LIFE and making you and your #HEALTH, your #FINANCES etc. A #PRIORITY. Give up the excuses and get working on improving all areas of your life. For me its upping my workouts to jogging 7 days a week instead of 3. Its measuring my food and when feeling hungry making sure am I hungry or just truly thirsty? Most importantly is #consistencyiskey Now put you first gorgeous, and take your life and heath and finances back. 🎉#happy4thofjuly🇺🇸 🎊🎉🎊🎉 🎊What a gorgeous day to relax, enjoy your family, waves, sun and a whole lotta fun. #topsailisland #topsailbeach rocks! 🎊 We lucked out with beautiful blue skies and a high of 86 plus degrees for our pre-planned #beachday☀️ 🎊 Getting up at 5am, we hustled making our days lunch, drinks and snacks. Luke was in charge of the chairs, towels, sunblock and blankets. 🎉We left on time at 7 am and made it to beach with no traffic by 9:45 am. 🎊 HOT HOT HOT sand, burning your pigs as you picked your spot. The waves were coming in hard! Brilliant to swim out too and jump!! 🎊The beach has a lovely sanddune area to enjoy. Finally settled in our new flat after 3 crazy weeks of moving, setting up, building furniture, my surgery and to top it off a head cold.
