Here are the 5 low carb meals I ate over the weekend: http://www.travelinglowcarb.com/13093/low-carb-meals-and-weigh-in/ plus my MyFitnessPal logs so you can see how I tracked them… and why I think my scales aren’t budging this week. ;-)

What I Ate This Carb Day!
What do you eat when you carb load (IF you carb load)??? Today I did an insane leg workout, followed by HIT cardio. I always always always have protein after my workouts. But, after I got home it was on. I went out for a huge lunch (pork dumplings, rice, hibachi Chicken, and Chinese donuts) at one of my favorite Chinese restaurants, and then we stopped for ice cream (WITH COOKIE DOUGH) on the way home---The carb and sugar love was for real you guys. Tomorrow will be another really intense (and oh so rewarding) HIT workout with some ab work peppered in there. Tell me how you reboot each week! Cheers!
When You’re Late to the Gym...
One of the greatest benefits of a ketogenic diet is its simplicity. Yes, the diet might be considered by some as ‘strict’, but therein its simplicity – you learn what you can eat, and what you shou…
So there’s a lot of debate about how to track macros on keto. I personally like using total carbs, but there are some who measure in terms of net carbs. Both methods have proven to be relatively effective. Take a look! This should provide some useful insight into how you should be eating for your goals.

Woke up SO hungry this morning! I’ve got to get some good fats for breakfast. Maybe some eggs cooked in olive oil with bacon...mmmm. Then gym!

Some Fitspo for tonight. I’m personally not great at doing crossfit, but I admire the crossfitter physique. Definitely inspirational.
Night, everyone!
When You’re Feeling Depleted...
So, i’m feeling pretty depleted today after completing my first leg day, back/bi split, and ab days for the week. Tomorrow holds the promise of yet another grueling (and oh so rewarding) leg program. BUT, I want to be sure that I have enough energy and focus to actually benefit from tomorrow’s lift.
SOLUTION: When I feel this way, I usually have my 20-30 grams of carbs right before my workout, and I hydrate like crazy. I also choose to do a more low intensity cardio on these days as well. Then I tear through my workout like any other day. And by the next day, I’m usually charged up enough to complete my next lift and a pretty intense HIT session.
Next time you’re feeling drained, give this a try and let me know how it works out for you.
I'm currently on a strict Olympic lifting schedule with programmed workouts 4 days a week. What should I do for cardio and when should I do it? I've built pretty large muscle mass but my fat percentage is too high to see it very well. What should I do without changing my routine too much?
This is great!
I personally recommend you to add 1 or 2 HIITs / per week (High Intensity Interval Training) like sprints for example. It requires a small amount of time and help you burn the most fat.
My advice: You should perform them on days you’re not doing your Olympic lifting. If your schedule don’t allow it, do them during the same day of your trainings but get some rest in-between.
e.g. If you’re lifting at night, do one HIIT in the morning (it only requires 10-20 minutes)
Hope it helps!
