Ways to Reveal Character

The reactions of other characters: How do other people behave around your character versus how they behave around anyone else? Better yet, what are their reactions to your character when they are not around?

Body language: There's already been a lot of posts about this, but the way your character carries themselves can help you reveal their mood. However, the meaning of the body language may depend on the situation and circumstances. For example, crossing your arms can signal both defensiveness or confidence.

Hobbies: What does your character like to do for fun? Is it considered an introverted or extroverted activity? Why do they get joy out of it? Did they take up the hobby because they really wanted to do it, or for someone else's benefit? (for example, Shinji from Neon Genesis Evangelion mentions the only reason he never really stopped playing the cello was because no one told him to stop, even though he admits that he doesn't like playing the cello very much.)

Language: How does your character speak? There are a lot of things that can influence the way a character speaks, including the person they are speaking to, their culture, and their background. For example, how does your character speak to someone with authority over them versus a group of their friends?

In October, TERA NA will be getting an update according to Treeshark’s Producer Letter.

The new Tiarania area will replace Island of Dawn for new level 1 players. Players who already did Island of Dawn can still visit to experience the new story quest. Tiarania will affect achievements as well as other dungeons that will be removed shortly.

New character selection screen.

EXP rewards from quest has increased by four to five times more.

Teleport Masters will allow you to teleport on any camps without having to visit them first.

Able to enable or disable quest markers on your map from the option menu.

Battlegrounds such as Kumas/Corsiars will display helpful cursors on your screen that can be enable or disable from the option menus.

Snowball Battlegrounds added for players level between 25 thru 65.

Gridiron equalized added where all players have equalized gears for players between 40 thru 64. Solo queue only.

Vote to kick players on Battlegrounds needs at least 80% votes to work.

Dreamstorm participation is only one entry per character for that day. If you did not receive rewards on that day, that same character can participate again.

Then next comes the Brawlers patch that will be released along with the new dungeons. The 10-man ship (Novice/Normal/Hard) will become a 5-man party on launch so thank goodness we don’t have to deal with FPS issues that Korean players had to endure earlier. Bernstein normal mode should be available as well while hard mode will come later for JTERA. This is all planned for Phase 1 on JTERA that’s coming out soon.

And relax, it’s going to be called “Brawler” on our version. It says so on the producer letter clear as day.

Hm, so I guess I’ll be playing TERA in October. It’s been a while. I can’t imagine I’ll be playing the fighter class, more interested in the new IoD really.  I will wait. But first...Character creation ago-go.
