Hey Kev! Thanks for leaving your blog up; I was a seriously devoted reader of yours for years through a really rough spot. (I'm the one who reviewed 7 times for Red Casebook Entries, actually.) Things happened, things got better, I walked away from the internet for a long time to go try real life. Which is good. But I just woke up today and said "KEVLAR MASQUERADE! I actually logged into my account by accident today after a long time and this is a really special message, I’m so moved.

Mar’i and Damian got me through a lot of really hard times, and I still use them and daydreaming about them as a coping mechanism for a lot of stuff. I’m so glad that I was able to share that with other people for a similar effect. Unfortunately I’ve had a lot on plate recently and I was planning on writing again but I will probably have to hold off for a while again. But I am still coming up with idea for them and hopefully I will be able to prioritize my creative ideas again sometime soon and create more content!

If anyone doesn’t know, I have another blog over at bat-kait dot tumblr dot com. I’m not exactly active over there but I do lurk pretty frequently and I actually check that account. If you wanted to, you could message me over there! I love hearing from people who love Mar’i and Damian and I’m always up for a chat :)

Ah... honestly I’ve been off tumblr and away from the community for quite a while now, I really wouldn’t know. I could refer you to @lorenamarquez but I don’t think she plays a hand in that either. I did try to do one (I helped with the prompts and didn’t even contribute lol) last year or the year before, I don’t think anyone’s done it since then. Sorry for being so unhelpful.

But I’m so glad you’re part of the ship! It really is a great one, in my humle opinion.

Thanks so much for the kind words! I haven't been writing lately which has been hard for me because there's still so many things I want to create. I've been struggling with the decision to delete this blog and this makes me want to lean toward not deleting. Hopefully at some point soon I can be in a place where writing again is feasible and and comes more easily to me and messages like this one make me want to get back in there and try it again. Sorry for making you restless lol. I have nine more days of class left so hopefully after that I can back into the swing of things. But to be honest, I probably won't actually write that. I don't post ideas that I want to write because I want to do them before someone swoops in and does it before me. That was more of an involved headcanon than a future fic. I'm really bad at writing younger Damian also, so anything that revolves around him being little is something I'll probably never write. Sorry lol!

Do you ship Barbara Gordon/John Blake

I had to google "john blake dcu" because I didn't know what you were talking about haha. Just something quick about me, I really hated the Dark Knight trilogy (just like I hate the actual Dark Knight Returns comic the trilogy was heavily based on). But I've read a couple fanfics where the rest of the Batfam is there during the events of the movies and I do love that.So, I guess yeah I could really get into that. I've never thought about it until right now but yeah I could. And I'm starting to actively ship them right now lol.

When you write Teen Titans fanfic, do you visualize the characters looking like they do in the 200(6?) cartoon or like in the old original comics?

Honestly when I write it's kind of a mish mash. I always cherry pick traits from different universes so the characters kind of morph. I probably visualize them closer to the comics appearance, except Raven and Beast Boy because I like their costumes from the cartoon. And I never imagine Starfire's eyes or hair looking the way they do in the cartoon. But no they probably look more like fanart than either one!

Thanks for asking! I really only post selfies sparingly and I won't post them on this blog, I'll post them on my side blog, kevlare. I have a tag for them but I can't remember what it is rn lol. I'll probably post one this weekend because I'm going out but I don't feel like posting one right now because I went to class for eight hours and I don't feel cute lol. Really want to get writing again but I also really want to read some more titles (mainly Gotham Academy tbh) so I can have more canon characters at my disposal
