What is that? Almost a 20% drop in almost 2 years?
Please, please, PLEASE don’t watch his videos if you can help it. I mean, it’s not like you’re gonna see anything new, anyway. It’s like he’s in syndication, all reruns. XD
If you must, please please PLEASE install Firefox (It’s a web browser like Internet Explorer except on the very rare occasion it actually crashes, it doesn’t affect Windows because unlike IE, Firefox isn’t a part of Windows, Firefox actually releases the memory it was using and Firefox conforms to the accepted standards for web development instead of trying to impose it’s own.)
It has all these little add-ons with neat little features that can customize your browser (though you can skin your browser as well, I’m referring to functionality), like download managers (Download ALL the stuff on the page! \O/ Download videos from all the different video sites), add alerts to your status bar (Facebook/Gmail/whatever messages), translators, add-ons that improve your security (Warn of certain conditions, block scripts, block tracking, etc.), add functionality like FTP, add-ons for web developers, etc. etc.
I’m mentioning all this is because of one particular add-on, AdBlock Plus.
From the description of the add-on:
"Adblock Plus allows you to regain control of the internet and view the web the way you want to. The add-on is supported by over forty filter subscriptions in dozens of languages which automatically configure it for purposes ranging from removing online advertising to blocking all known malware domains. Adblock Plus also allows you to customize your filters with the assistance of a variety of useful features, including a context option for images, a block tab for Flash and Java objects, and a list of blockable items to remove scripts and stylesheets.
Starting with Adblock Plus 2.0 there is an option in Filter Preferences to allow some non-intrusive advertising. The goal is to support websites using non-intrusive ways to advertise and to encourage more websites to do the same.”
This includes (but not by any means limited to) the text and video YouTube ads.
Migrating data (Bookmarks, cookies, etc.) from IE to Firefox is done for you if you choose it when the option is presented to you.
If you don’t like Firefox, it uninstalls just as quickly and easily as it installs. (But it’s good practice to have another browser installed “just in case”)
