Hey! I originally started posting this little AU in my other side blood conventionalaus long before the porn ban thing... Since then that blog has been stuck on NSFW mode and basically died. I donāt want this little universe to die so Iām transferring it over to here just so itās easier to find and manage.
Things change so fast itās insane. Stuck in New York during the virus has been a trip.Ā
Barry had a photoshoot. He was so excited about it. Taking pictures in a real studio for a real brand was some a huge opportunity for him. He decided to rent a small apartment near the studio for the week heād be there.Ā
I just went with him because I thought I might get inspired by the city.
Iām glad I came. Canāt imagine him alone at a time like this.Ā
The lockdown or whatever itās called has taken its toll on both of us, sure, on everyone. But the contract was dropped and we found ourselves stuck in a studio apartment away from home with just a few t-shirts and pants, a tiny kitchen and our laptops and phones.Ā
Barry has been drained. This is actually the first time I managed to get him outside for a while. He actually put some pants on. Itās not much but itās great to see him up and about again (and yes, I asked him for permission before writing about his depression online).
Itās rough. You miss the most stupid things like a knife you had back home, a specific set of sheets, the way the sun came in through the window in the morning...
Hereās a list of little things weāve been doing together to try and stay sane.
Yesterday we had a dance party to a 40s big band music playlist.Ā
We make pancakes when we want.Ā
Barry always makes breakfast and I always make lunch.Ā
Weāre learning guitar.Ā
These are just a few things weāre doing. If we have breakfast, lunch and dinner, go all the way to the first floor then come back up using the stairs and do one fun thing, itās an amazing day.Ā
Getting Barry to smile is always special. Hearing his voice is always special. Seeing his face behind the camera is more than special.Ā
Iām glad we have each other. Iām glad I can be here for him.Ā

Small town life for Leonard Snart had his creativity stagnated. For Barry, smal town life was his last attempt at feeling pleasure in photography again.Ā
