the story is about jonghyun, a good pirate , who kidnaps kibum, a good servant and their love story
Note: So I thought and thought about writing jongkey fics , you see guys, I want jonghyun to live within us, I want him to be with us on our journey so when we meet again we can proudly say that we lived for him and us, so I decided to write again, and say his name again, the emptiness in my heart will never heal .. but maybe it will be more bearable this way
|chapter one|
The ship rolled from side to side, the temperature of the cabin dropped making the blond kid who was sleeping beside the closet hug his petite form to get warmer
Dark clouds obscured the moonlight that was lightening the room and made the petite boy’s eyebrows winkle, he opened his eyes slowly and soon heard the voice of the ship’s crew yelling and panicking, he stood up so quickly that he felt lightheaded but he ignored that and went straight to the bed that was in front of him
“Princess wake up please wake up “ the blond said panicking , shaking the princess’s body
“ oh kibum what’s wrong “ the princess said siting up looking as confused as he was , the boy named kibum, the princess’s servant and her childhood friend , shook his head
“ I don’t know hye mi but I don’t like what’s going on outside” he said looking around, the worry is clear on his eyes
“ oh kibum, you’re such a chicken” the princess said while yawning and stretching “ let me get back to sleep, I am getting married tomorrow for god sake”
Kibum bit down his lip and was about to apologies when he heard the voice of a painful scream coming from outside, their eyes winded as they stared at each other. kibum stood up and went to the door, he opened it slightly and nearly screamed as he saw the crew running around screaming pirates, he looked back at hyemi who hugged her bed sheets, tears already falling from her eyes
“ kibum ..” she said weakly her shaky hands fisting at the sheets
Kibum let out a breath he did not know was holding and closed the door slowly before looking around; he moved everything he can find toward the door to shut it close before looking back at the princess
“ strip “ he said slowly with determination in his eyes
“wh-what”
Hye mi said between sobs as she stood, doing nothing but shaking, kibum took slow steps toward her and hugged her while rubbing her back
“ do you trust me ?” he said slowly while patting her back trying to calm her down, he felt her nod against his chest , smiling kibum let out a knife he was hiding in his pants and with a swift move he cut her brown locks that were tied in a ponytail
Hye mi tears starting falling as she shook her head, he smiled again
“ it will be okay “ he said while untying his hair that fell gently on his face, the moonlight that slowly started to lighten the room made the princess almost gasp at the beauty of kibum
His blond locks reached almost his shoulders, his feline eyes sparkled with tears that threatened to fall, his pink bowshaped lips opened and closed as he tried to breath evenly
“ see, I told you I am more beautiful “
He said trying to crack a joke, the princess almost smiled, a deep scary unknown voice made them both freeze
“ what’s in here “ they both heard a stranger say as he tried to open the door
The blond looked back at the princess and nodded his head, they changed their outfits quickly and he opened the door of the closet, the sound of the people outside made them move as quickly as they can, with a last nod, kibum closed the closet door and stood still waiting for his faith
He shivered as he saw the door shoot open, three strangers entered the room, wearing all in black, a smirk on their face
“ oh look what we have here” the largest of them said as he stepped toward him making him take a step back in horror
“ you know the captain’s rules karam, we cannot touch women “ a more human like guy said as he held the guy named karam’s shoulders, karam glared at him and shook him off before looking back at the blond
“ fuck the captain, and he won’t know if no one tells him right lee joon?” he creaked out with groan and a threatening look as he stepped toward kibum who took a step back only to fall down on his back making the monster in front of him smirk wider
Kibum couldn’t breath, it felt as if someone was chocking him, his hear was racing and all he wanted was to curl up into a ball and wait for anyone, just anyone to save him and the princess, the blond shut his eyes as tight as he can
“ what are you doing “ a foreign voice made the devil in front of him freeze at the spot, opening his eyes slowly, the blond spotted a brunet from the corner of his eyes
“ captain “ the three guys called out in unison, fear clear in their voice, the huge guy moved away and blond can finely take a better look at the so-called captain
The guy was In his twenties, he was a little shorted than he expected, with board chest and muscled arms, he was wearing a white shirt that reached his elbows and some black pants that hugged his legs perfectly, the guy was holding what seems like a sword and kibum can feel himself tremble upon seeing it
The guy’s presence was frightening, the way he was eyeing his crew made kibum think that he never ever want to be in their position, with steady steps, the captain glared down at him which made his heart beats fasten as he prayed his last prayers
The princess
Kibum remembered the reason he was wearing a girl’s night dress in the first place, he needs to get those pirates out of the room no matter what and it won’t happen if he chickens out and if they discover his identity
“ I-I demand m-my rights “ kibum said out of nowhere, his voice sounding strange even to himself
The captain smirked and got down on one knee to be in kibum’s level , he raised an eyebrow
“ your rights “ he answered with much amusement, almost chuckling, the guys that were in the room with them laughed as well making the blond squirm in annoyance
The captain extended his hand and touched his blond locks , his face getting closer to his personal space
“ oh well princess, you don’t have as many in my world “
Kibum slapped the dirty hands away as he glared at the brunet in front of him, his act only made the captain smile in a way that made the blood in his veins boil
“ d-don’t t-touch me you disgusting filthy animal “ kibum cried with his eyes fully shut, he knew for sure that making the pirates mad won’t get him nowhere, but he prayed it would at least get them out of the room
He opened his eyes slowly only to lock his gaze with the brunet’s , the coldness of the way he was staring at him made him shiver
The captain’s eyes were narrowed, rigid, cold, hard, almost too scary , he was clenching his jaw as he stared dreadfully at him and kibum could almost feel himself vanish and disappear
“ should I kill her captain” someone said making him choke back a tear, his pink lips trembling
the captain said nothing and straightened up before picking the blond up
with a swift move, kibum was thrown on his shoulder like if he weighted almost nothing , the brunet turned around with raised eyebrows and a crooked smile making kibum swallow something
he struggled and tried to move but a single glare by the brunet made him freeze at the spot
At least they were leaving the room
“ let’s go, we got everything we need “ the captain said uninterestingly
“ but captain, the closet” the buffed guy said making kibum clench his fists unintentionally on the captain’s shirt
“ I said let’s go” the brunet said sternly and left with kibum still on his shoulders
He went outside to his crew, the place was so dim and the way the ship moved made kibum almost want to throw up, seeing the sailors of their ship tied around the mast he sighed in relief, at least they didn’t hurt them
Wait, so he’s the only one in danger ?
Mentally face palming himself, kibum tried struggling on the brunet grip trying to get lose knowing fully that it was vain, he scratched the arm that was next to him and felt the brunet wince , his little victory smile vanished when he heard the brunet deep voice
“ stay still or we’re going back to that closet “ kibum swallowed something
He knew oh god he knew
“okay ladies pack your staff “
The crew cried in unison and took the things they stole to the other ship, kibum felt himself tense as the monster , as he now like to call him, walked toward the other ship.
“ let me down why are you taking me with you “ he cried as tears fell down his face making the back of the captain’s shirt wet, the brunet’s straight face made his heart beat even faster
Oh god what is going to happen to him now, he is only eighteen years old and he is going to die already
he tightened his grip on the pirate’s back and felt himself cling on him for dear life when he stepped on the worn wood that was linking both ships together
each step the pirate took toward the pirate’s ship made him sob more and hide his face on the stranger’s back too afraid to look at the sea that was beneath him
he was thrown on the ship’s deck in seconds, the other pirates eyeing him with a scary look making him want to cry, the captain soon stood next to him and picked him up again and the little tiny feeling of safety that fell his body made him hate himself
they both entered the captain’s cabin and he was soon thrown again on the floor, he winced in pain as he glared with his puffy eyes at the monster who looked at him with an amused look
A knock on the door broke the silence, a tiny kid who was too pretty to be a pirate in kibum’s opinion entered the room and bowed down to the captain who just nodded
“did you untie one of the ship’s crew ?”
“ yes jonghyun we did “ the captain raised an eyebrow at the mention of his name but nodded nonetheless
“okay you know how to deal with the rest, taemin “ he said smirking at the petite red head who nodded back and excused himself
Kibum let out a breath and stood up with shaky legs
“ release me “ he said with a hoarse, trying to sound as threatening as he can , the chuckled that came from the so named jonghyun made a frustrated tear escape his eyes
Jonghyun stared at the beautiful kid in front of him, his eyes all puffy from crying too much , his cheeks and cute button nose were pink, his blond locks gave a mysterious exotic vibe to him and he wished nothing more than to kiss those pink soft looking lips
Clearing his throat, Jonghyun poored himself a glass of wine as he sat on his desk , and stared back at kibum
“ want a glass ?”
Kibum huffed in frustration
“ you told your crew to not touch women, so why did you bring me here ” kibum demanded again, never breaking the eye contact
Jonghyun smiled and nodded as he took a sip from his wine , standing up from his desk, he took steady steps toward the blond, stopping when he was just inches away from him
“ indeed” he said swallowing the wine “ but ..” he pointed at kibum with the glass of wine “ you aren’t a women princess now are you, you're too pretty though so I understand them, but still not a women“ he added getting in kibum’s personal space, the blond can almost feel jonghyun’s breath against his cheeks as he inspected him, the blond felt naked under his gaze
“ I-I am “ he shuttered, cold sweat already forming at his back
Jonghyun chuckled and took a step back before moving around the blond, like a lion circling his prey
“ you see princess, you can fool them all out there because no matter how strong and muscled they look, they never were with a real women, girls maybe, but women .. nah “
Kibum felt irritated at the arrogant bastard , fuck it if he is going to die he doesn’t need to deal with this bullshit
“you must be proud” he snickered
Jonghyun raised an eyebrow and smiled the smile that makes kibum want to punch him
“ I am “ he added with a chuckle as he was again standing in front of him “ I know the curves of women kiddo, and holding you alone made me realize you aren’t one”
Kibum blushed crimson as he remembered the way he clang on the captain while they were heading here, he chased the ideas away
“ then why did you take me with you “he asked with a low weak voice, his hands still trembling with fear
Smirking jonghyun held kibum’s chin with his hand
“ you look pretty for a boy , that’s one, and you looked like you wanted to protect something or maybe, someone in that closet of yours, I just guaranteed your wish“
Stepping back trying to get away from the pirate’s grasp
“ h-how did you know “
“ quite easily princess “ jonghyun added with a smile “ you kept on glancing there every now and then, it made me quit curious to say the least, but you were too determined and you even risked your life to protect it “
Kibum stared dumbfully and didn’t know how to react , should he thank him for letting him protect the princess
“ pirates have no rules princess “ jonghyun added walking back toward his desk to pour himself another glass of wine “ we do not , especially me , differentiate between girls and boys , women and men,if you’re fighting a women and she is going to kill you do you stop and let her just because she is one ?”
He said shaking his head while staring at his wine
“ but, we do have manners , we do not touch women , or pretty boys like yourself without permission, or at least me I don’t “ he walked back toward the blond who felt himself tense at his presence “ but when we want something to claim as ours, we take it “ he eyed the blond with a smirk making him shift a little
“ you said you won’t touch anyone without permission “
“ and I won’t” jonghyun cut him off without letting him finish his sentence “you will eventually give yourself to me prin-“
“ NEVER IN MY LIFE “ kibum yelled his fists tightening, tears rolling down his face as he realized his faith “ I would never ever give myself to a filthy animal like yourself “
He added looking down, his tears leaving wet spots down the floor
A strong firm hand was soon around his chin lifting his face up , the dark look in jonghyun’s eyes was back, even darker than before, his half closed feline eyes stared back with an even darker look
“ I don’t see you understand what’s going on here princess, in here I am your captain , your superior, your god , you will never, ever , talk to me like that again are we understood “
Shivering in fear, kibum stared back at the monster telling himself over and over to not weaken
he was soon released, a shirt and some pants were thrown at him
“ what do you want from me” he said weakly looking down at the floor
“ you “ an even fainter voice responded before closing the cabin’s door
(to a listener’s message) jonghyun: when your tears are falling just let them shed. i wish you’ll think of it as if that weight inside your heart is getting out of your body drop by drop, like that.
I miss you kim jonghyun .. I miss your smile and your tiny shy voice .. I miss you laugh and mischievous pranks .. maybe you should’ve been a little mean to us so it wouldn’t hurt this much .. though I know it’d always hurt .. may your soul rest in peace my beautiful angel ... I will meet you again one day
Jonghyun: When i lay on the floor and pretend to cry like this “ang ang”, Roo will come to my side and whine together with me. He will shove his nose around as though he was digging something in my arms. Then if i suddenly raise my head and embrace Roo, his eyes will be watery. Seeing that he ‘feels sad too when his family cries’ he is a really kind dog. But now, even Roo doesnt buy my crying pretense, he just looks at me with a pathetic glance.

january 7th. three years ago today, in 2015, “déjà-boo” was released. originally meant to be a pre-release single leading up to the official release of jonghyun’s debut solo album, base, the song unexpectedly took south korea by storm both digitally and on music shows, leading sm entertainment to make it an official second leading single alongside his original debut title, “crazy (guilty pleasure)”. not only was this was a first for the company, but it also marked the first time that an artist under their roster had two promotional title tracks. this was also a prolific moment as the song was both composed and written by jonghyun, unlike “crazy (guilty pleasure)”, which he had just penned the lyrics to. the song was co-composed and featured zion.t, a close and personal friend of jonghyun.
upon it’s digital release, “déjà-boo” debuted at #1 on the melon digital chart and proceeded to remain in the spot for over a day after release, hitting the realtime roof at one point. it also took the first place spot on all other digital charts (with the exception of cyworld, which sm did not distribute music to), giving it an unofficial all-kill. the song proceeded to remain in the top twenty on melon into it’s fourth week of release and remained on the chart overall for up to three months in total. on gaon, it debuted at #1 on the weekly digital chart, a first for an sm soloist, and at #3 on the monthly digital chart for the month of january 2015. though it sadly did not end up making the year end digital chart it ranked #64 on the half year chart. on top of this, “déjà-boo” also brought in eight music show wins for jonghyun, the first being presented to him by minho on music core on january 17th, 2015.
in celebration of this incredible release korean shawols have began the hashtag, #데자부3주년, which took the first place on the all cities korea realtime trending chart as soon as the day turned over into january 7th.
