"Ya Allāh, I ask You for Your love, the love of those who love You, and the deeds which will cause me to attain Your love."
The days of Hajj have passed, but their impact remains in our hearts and souls
No disaster strikes except by permission
of Allah. And whoever believes in Allah
He Wil guide his heart. Qur'an 64:11

The world may overlook you, but your Rabb never forgets you.
You can’t control the narrative someone creates about you.
To some people, your presence will feel like light. To others, it may expose shadows they haven’t faced within themselves. That’s the reality of being deeply seen or mistakenly misread.
Muhakkak ki Rabbım benimledir.

The Tabi’ie, Abu ‘Uthman al-Nehdee رحمه الله:
The Salaf revered the “Three Tens”:
1. the Last Ten (nights) of Ramadan
2. the First Ten (days) of Dhul-Hijjah
3. the First Ten of al-Muharram (i.e., the days leading up to the fast of Ashura).
[Lataa’if al-Ma’arif, 35]
Some short du‘ās to increase during the first nine days of Dhul Hijjah:
*Allāhumma innaka ‘afuwwun tuḥibbul-‘afwa fa‘fu ‘annī.
*Rabbanā ātinā fid-dunyā ḥasanah wa fil-ākhirati ḥasanah wa qinā ‘adhāban-nār.
*Allāhumma a‘innī ‘alā dhikrika wa shukrika wa ḥusni ‘ibādatik.
*Yā Muqallibal-qulūb, thabbit qalbī ‘alā dīnik.
*Allāhumma innī as’aluka al-hudā wat-tuqa wal-‘afāfa wal-ghinā.
*Allāhumma balighnā Yawm Arafah.

You didn't ruin your chances.
It just was never meant for you.
The Prophet ﷺ stood in Makkah, praying towards al Aqsa but always faced the Ka'bah, alongside al Aqsa.
But after the Hijrah, as you can see, from Madinah it was impossible to face both Makkah and Al Aqsa.
He loved the House built by Ibrahim عليه السلام. The sacred centre of Tawheed. The place his eyes would turn towards, again and again, hoping for a command from Allah.
And Allah saw that longing.
After the Hijrah to Madinah, the command came down. The Qiblah was changed.
“Indeed, We have seen the turning of your face towards the heaven, so We will surely turn you to a Qiblah that you will be pleased with…” [Surah Al-Baqarah 2:144]
From that moment, the Ummah faced Makkah.
A wish of the Prophet ﷺ, answered by Allah.
Yet still, Al Aqsa remains honoured. A place of immense virtue. One of the three Masjids worth travelling to.
The Prophet ﷺ said: “Do not undertake a journey except to three mosques, Al-Masjid al-Haram, the mosque of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and Al-Masjid al-Aqsa.” [Sahih al-Bukhari]
Narrated Abu Huraira (رضي الله عنه):
The Prophet (ﷺ) never criticized any food (he was invited to) but he used to eat if he liked the food, and leave it if he disliked it.
