She makes no attempt to shift her feet off the table, but gestures to the chair opposite her. “Take a seat, I’ve got a pitcher of beer and some wings on the way.” Tenzin had been planning to drink the whole pitcher by herself, but sometimes company outside of the Damned can liven things up.

“I appreciate the sentiment, but if this really were my place, it’d get cleaned more often.” Ezra is her very best friend, but damn, who fuckin’ raised this guy?! He doesn’t even put his beer bottles out for recycling! She understands that being evil is a fulltime job, but they should still try to save the sea turtles or whatever. Maybe it’ll give them a little bit of good karma when they go to Hell. “Hmm, that’s a good point. Wanna help me chop him up and scatter him all over the city? We could put his hand inside a vending machine at a gas station. Maybe we’ll make a cannibal’s day!”

Walking home alone as a mutant is something that’s hard to do—harder when he’s got a target on his back. But he’d taken to flying, and that level of arrogant invincibility is hard to shrug off, so when he hears footsteps at his back, following him at a night with oddly no other people to witness it. Maybe they thought the pop star could only do songs and dances and flashes of light, maybe zip around once in a while—but if they ever tried anything? Well, Victor would prove them wrong.

Like an asshole, he still wears his sunglasses at night—though it doesn’t mean as much when he can see everything as clear as day. “You want an autograph or something?” He says, still walking, not looking at them, ready to fight or to bolt when things get bad.

“Quite frankly, I’d rather swallow broken glass.” Tenzin has never understood people who go crazy over popstars and actors. They’re just people who managed to scrape together enough talent to make money from it. This guy clearly think he’s some hot shit, walking around with sunglasses on at night, asking if she wants an autograph. “I know who you are, but that doesn’t mean I like your music.” Bring back Fleetwood Mac, Led Zeppelin, and The Smiths. The days of good music are long gone, replaced by songs about pussy and watermelons. 

Sighing, she pulls out one of her daggers. Tenzin sees no reason to lie to this guy about what she’s up to; she can just make him forget if he tries to be a hero. “I’m here to kill someone, so you should scurry away before it gets messy.”
