It’s his second cup of coffee, though it’s long gone cold. He’s been rooted in the spot since the morning – watching. It’s been standing on the corner for as long as Clint’s been sitting here. He’s been looking for any sign of movement. He isn’t sure what they were but he doesn’t remember these things being part of the original timeline. “Hey!” The man calls out, settled on the ground, back against the steel of the building. “You ever seen these things before.” A hand gestures towards the thing that’s standing on the street corner.

Bobbi’s been keeping an eye on the robot statues since they - well, landed. No one seemed to have any information on them yet but she has a bad feeling they weren’t going for stay still forever. She’s attempting to keep civilians away when she hears someone call out. “I’m not sure how this is helping the situation, Barton.” She states, walking towards him and the statue. “They’re not from here, that’s all I know for sure.”

“seriously? physically i’m in pristine condition. always have been. mentally? that’s none of your business.”

“i’m living at the xavier school just as i did in 2012 and for many years after that. i’m a teacher there and sometimes a headmistress.”

What do YOU think we should do about the situation at hand? Try to go back home? The original mission of stopping Thanos? Rewrite the entire story?

“our priority should be getting back home. thanos is an avengers problem and they’ve somehow dragged the rest of us into their plan.”

What will you DO about the situation at hand?

“what will i do? not a goddamn thing. i don’t owe the avengers anything. they got us into this mess, they better get us out of it.”

Is there anything that you think needs to be done?

“um, how about the big problem staring us in the face? we need to get back to our own time. the longer we’re here the worse the consequences will be.”

If need be, would you be willing to team up with the government and SHEILD to recoup and help the situation at hand?

“neither shield nor the government has ever helped mutants, why should we trust them now? the x-men are independent of the government for a reason.”

What are your worries?

“worries cause wrinkles. i’m above them.”

What do you think are the pros about this situation?

“nothi -- well, that’s not completely true. over the years i’ve lost many students and i’d give anything to change things. it’s too late for my helions but for the 2012 students, for those that come after, maybe a few lives could be saved.”
