Happy [belated] Halloween! I put together a quick cos to wear to work inspired by ATEEZ's cover performance of 'The Black Cat Nero'. Made the ears, tail, a waist wrap to hide the base of the tail, and did my makeup all in less than 5hrs... and then went straight to work. I can't wait to cry in HD with the NieR Replicant remaster. :) At the NieR Orchestra Concert I legit cried for 2hrs straight. It was truly a life changing experience and I would love to experience it again. Finally a recent photo. My hair is fading and the roots are growing out :(⠀ 🙃Quarantine is really kicking my ass. 10 years of NieR⠀ (I'm a bit late for the actual anniversary but whatever)⠀ I was introduced to this series by chance. My friend is really into JRPG and when I went to hang out at her place after school she showed me a new game she bought, Drakengard 3. We started playing it and I was hooked. I could only play at her place bc I didn't have the console so that prompted me to read more about the series in my own time and needless to say I got pretty deep into the whole series. Fast forward a few years when NieR: Automata was announced I was so excited I was practically forcefeeding it to my friends. I love Yoko Taro's works so so much. Who else is pumped for the new mobile game and the NieR remaster!? The NieR/DOD series makes me really wanna get back into cosplay lol. Focusing on school bc this semester is super busy so idk when is the next time I'll cosplay. I've been more into going to concerts than conventions lately anyways bc I feel hella burnt out... I know I told some people I was planning on going to Katsucon but I ended up canceling to work on schoolwork. My next confirmed event is Fanime but I might go to Cherry Blossom Festival too? 2019 wrap up Last post of the year (& decade)! Although I used to have it in my bio a lot of people didn't know that I've been cosplaying since 2011. I have been actively going to events since 2014 or so and almost never missed a local anime/cosplay event. I've made so many friends in this community and I'm really thankful to all of them for helping me learn and grow as a person. Cosplay has really helped shape who I am. It has helped me learn and develop so many skills and discover what I truly have a passion for: creating. I love to make things. I love drawing, building, sewing, crafting, etc. I really don't know where I'd be today if I didn't get into cosplay. Cosplay has also caused me a lot of stress and heartache. I only really post about the fun and glamorous bits of cosplaying but behind the scenes there's a lot more that happens. I made many friends but also lost a few. I met lots of good people but also some bad ones. I've had my heart broken and my trust in people shattered. I've stressed myself out over projects more times than I can count and over the past 2 years I've burnt myself out and am still recovering from that. I love this hobby to bits but sometimes I'm also just so tired of it. This past summer I took a long trip to China and Japan and it really helped me get away from everything and find myself again. I discovered a love for food and travel and got inspired by fashion and Kpop to create some non-cosplay things. I've been into Kpop since 2014 but fell out of it around 2015 and got back into it in the past 2 years and I've been using it like an escape almost. I've honestly been more interested in going to concerts than conventions recently.
