When comes the day that I can get dressed in my own kig I don't plan to announce on tumblr that I've done it. I'll post photos on whatever social media site is the least annoying and share those posts here without giving any indication that it's me.

In my mind that is the funniest way to do it.

You should start going to big anime cons so you can take photos of some kigs!

Oh my, the part of me that combusts with jealousy over kigs has returned :)))))

The jealousy is due to the same 2 reasons that I've moped about in other posts:

Their body shape, and how they look like a giant anime figure whereas I don't

The fact that they are able to participate in kig AT ALL whereas I cannot (yet) due to life situation reasons

I've tamed this particular part of me before, but I can never seem to totally appease it. Having these repeated mood shifts is fun.

I also want to state once more that I harbor no ill will to those that I feel jealous towards. I'm happy that you have what you have, and I really want it too.

Imagine a kig spirit that talks like a medieval noblewomen

Died hundreds of years ago and reincarnated as a kig mask. I'd read that!

One benefit of letting the kig mask spirit inhabit your body is that she can help you out of sticky situations. Like if you, the host, are rendered non-functional from a panic attack, she can step in act on your behalf! Then once you've calmed down, she can relinquish your body and let you continue your day as normal.

But! ☝️ If you want the kig spirit to take care of you like this, it's not merely as simple as letting her into your body. You need to allow her to develop a sense of agency.

You will both occupy the same head, so you must demonstrate that she can safely form her own thoughts with you around. Listen to her thoughts and respond to them like you are speaking to another individual. Only when the two of you are able to communicate freely will she be able to move onto the next step: assuming physical control of the body.

This step can be tricky to pull off at first, and it gets easier with practice. You first hold onto your own puppet strings together with her, then when she has a good grasp of them, you release your own grip from the strings, and then she assumes control.

Practice makes perfect in living together harmoniously with your kig spirit!
