I’ve done it, I crossed over to the dark side. By which I mean I’ve been playing The Sims 4. I blame the university pack, it actually managed to get me engaged. So some recolors, here are some of my favorite Anthropologie rugs, including ones from Rifle Paper Co.

Regarding Simpliciaty Stealing work from Stealthic

Hi everyone. It’s been a while since I’ve made a post on here, but this is due to the fact that I’ve now moved on to work at Second Life. I’m surprised to see that I still have 10′s of thousands of followers! I love you all so much. I upload my hairstyles there now exclusively to Second Life as a full-time job, and many of you have already seen my work and support me there, which I appreciate beyond belief!

Sadly, it’s come to my attention several times that Simpliciaty is now stealing my work and sending them to his patreon members as “gifts”, although in order to receive these “gifts”, you need to become a member in the first place, costing 5 dollars a month.

Many of you may not know how Second Life works, but it’s not at all like the open-source modding community we have at the Sims. Second Life is a free to play game, and in order to keep it running, it needs content creators who in turn create content for the game and sell this content for real money (this is the only way most free-to-play games can sustain themselves). My hairstyles are sold through Second Life to many of the players/customers on this game. Assets in this game are not to be tampered with or redistributed.

Simpliciaty is using an illegal program (or having someone else use this program) to export my content from this game, not give me credit, and then send private links to his patreon/discord users, seeming like he created the content and in turn even making money off this work. (This is called copybotting, google it!) VERY little work is put into this, despite what he is telling everyone. My TOU for Sims does NOT apply to Second Life, obviously, since this is an entirely different gaming platform and my Sims content isn’t officially inside of the Sims, like it is over at Second Life.

I messaged him, and he says that if he calls it a “gift” that it’s fine, when he’s still tampering with my work and profiting off of it along with not crediting me. He went so far as to make a long post claiming how much work HE put into that bangs pack, which took me days: 

He proceeded to tell me he would never “disrespect” me or my work, but this is blatant disrespect and he continues to do so to.

If you want to help and you are a patreon or in his discord, do so by private messaging me on here, my messages are open. You can also do so anonymously, my asks are open. I already have someone doing so, but more always help, and I can DMCA his works. I will keep our conversation private.

Friendly Reminder?

I hope I don’t get chased out of here with a stick, but guys just a reminder… 

filenames with SPACES, HYPHENS, BRACKETS, PARENTHESES, PLUS SIGNS, AMPERSANDS, pretty much anything OTHER THAN AN UNDERSCORE, makes your game load up even slower than normal. 

I’m only saying this because I’ve tested it numerous times in my game and even with 20K+++++ files in my DL folder, it takes one minute flat to load my game if all the file names are short and use JUST UNDERSCORES. 

So, to recap: 

[yourname]thething - color+extra&extra = SLOW 

yourname_thething_colorwhateverelse = FAST

I didn’t even know hyphens were deemed as unreadable… interesting. :) I thought maybe because SimPE could only use hyphens for a certain part (I forgot what) it was deemed safe. Oh well! I’ll have to finish doing this some time. Thank you!

Now that my computer is finally back in action, I have finally completed my tutorial pet custom content for the public! This download includes the long awaited for crescent forehead marking that works for both cats and dogs, that was absolutely inspired by Sailor Moon.

I also included the solid skunk stripe for cats, and four hairless cat coats. The hairless coat colors are bare, black, white, and orange. They can be used as is, but they can also be layered with other coat colors at different opacity’s to create a much wider variety of color options or just to add a touch of fur texture. I found that using smooth or furry coats looked best in this case. These hairless coats are also 100% handpainted by me, as the Sims 4 extracted Sphynx coat was way too subtle for my liking. I spent many long days trying to make the wrinkles line up as perfectly as possible, so I hope those waiting for their hairless feline babies will like these!

That’s not all I have for you either! See, I noticed long ago that Maxis made a strange mistake with the Speckles marking for Shaggy dogs. It has a very obvious texture difference between the body and the head:

This really bothered me, so I fixed it. Just in case anyone else felt bothered as well, then here’s the quick fix I made for it.

A home for forgotten but very loved abandonware

I get a lot of questions about the ultimate collection, and like most I got the UC during the promotion where it was given away for free a coupe of years ago. But, EA has announced they will no longer be giving out the UC. They haven’t supported it in years, or even sold it. So it is officially abandonware, and has found it’s home on oldgamesdownload.com, a trusted website that only uploads abandonware, primarily classic and older games. So no, you do not have to worry about piracy. 

I will not be answering questions, or help with installing, or ‘fixing’ the game to work with win10. Because they have a very handy and straight forward youtube tutorial on how to install the UC, and the internet has a million links (like this one) on how to remedy the graphical issues that win10 users experience.

I also will no longer be answering questions about the UC, since I added all of this to my FAQ page.
