Make me choose: ↳ codenamehexx asked: Pippin or Kili?
releasetheprisoners:
“Sure - I’ll see that your skull is nice and thoroughly dashed with a rock.”
“Wait...no! I refuse to be slain if you mess up any bit of my face. The face is the most important part!” And suddenly, young Kili had a perfectly good reason to escape. How would weeping maidens mourn him properly if they could not see his peaceful, beautiful face during his funeral? He could not have that!
“Now would be a good time for you to release me before I have to call in drastic measures!”
releasetheprisoners:
“Might not look entirely heroic, but it would give me something to laugh at when I look upon your corpse… Maybe a Prince in Distress would be more accurate.”
A sigh of disappointment escaped him at the revelation that there were no lovely maidens to assist. "That's a pity, really. Would've made the effort of trying to escape more worthwhile." He pouted as he wiggled his arms a bit, not as enthused about trying to break free as before.
"Will you make sure my corpse at least looks dashing?"
@releasetheprisoners
“You can try, little Dwarfling!” laughed the Lieutenant of Morgul.
“My archers will stand at the ready for when you make your heroic escape.”
“Oh heroic? Do you really think it’ll be heroic? Do I look heroic right now...?” The young prince asked the last question more to himself than to his Orc captor. “Well...I want to maintain my dashing appearance in case there’s any maidens I need to rescue along the way...”
His face brightened at the thought as he looked back to the Orc with a large smile. “Do you have any damsels in distress held captive?”
[releasetheprisoners] “The weak would do well to know their own limits.”

@releasetheprisoners
“Well! Good thing I’m not weak, now am I?” The dwarven prince boasted, even though he was tied up. Perhaps he could chew an arm off and escape? No, he’d probably need both arms to fight once he was freed of his confines.
“You think this,” He held up his tied arms. “Will hinder me? Pah! I’ll be out before you know it!”
raeleneyuri:
“Well- I suppose the company is fine.. if you wish, you may escort me back,.” She nodded gently before she thought on his other offer. “ They are just glad to have someone pay them some attention I think..” Reiko adjusted her bag on her shoulder as she headed up the hill. “What brings you to Dale?”
The prince smirked when she accepted his kindly gesture. He hurried his pace for a moment until he was able to match her stride. “Aside from being slain by your brave little warriors? Oh, just the typical politics. Second born sons usually get sent out a lot to handle these things.”
Kili eyed the bag she carried. “Would you like me to carry that for you? It’s no trouble at all.”

“ You’re highness-you may not you know but I cannot carry tune.” She laughed before she pulled a blossom off a nearby tree. “ But I shall tend your grave dutifully. “ She laughed as the orphans from her home continued to play with the Dwarf prince.
“ Come now, children, I’m sure his Royal Highness had things he must tend to in Dale.” She clapped her hands to ushered them away. A few let out a soft “aww” before they made their way back to the orphanage, looking back at the young prince with gleeful smiles. “I’m sorry, sometimes they get carried away, it’s not often they get to have such fun.”
He twirled the flower presented to him between his fingers, smiling at the small thing.
“It’s quite alright. It was my idea to play as the troll; I didn’t take into account the young ones had quite the strength behind their swings.” He laughed, mostly at himself as he moved to stand. “I’m more than happy to take them off your hands whenever you’d like.” He shook the dirt and burs that clung to his tunic.
“I’d be more than happy to be your escort back, m’lady.” The prince offered.

“I don’t…” Kili honestly didn’t know why she was distraught, but he figured he must’ve done a great disservice to her. The last thing he ever wanted was for Nyr to feel such a way, especially if it was his own fault.
“I’m sorry.” He reached out towards her, his eyes trying to search her’s. “Please, tell me what I can do to rectify what I’ve done.” Whatever that was.

This was it.
This was the day that Prince Kili II, son of Fili...would die.
Everyone always spoke so highly of Bofur’s jovial nature and how friendly he was. Even Kili’s own father spoke highly of him! There should be no reason for the prince to fear him, none!
No. He was certain he would die by Bofur’s hands today. After all, he was going to ask Bofur’s blessing to court his daughter. On his way to speak with the very dwarrow, Kili turned ‘round and briskly walked back the way he came. Then he talked himself to stop being such a coward and forced himself to march forward.
Then he just stood there, for a long time, right outside the dwarf’s place of work.
Coward. Kili you’re a coward.
@reikoyuri
“Oh no! I fear this is the end for me!” Kili pretended to be struck down by the local children’s wooden swords and twigs. “I have been slain!” He fell backwards upon the ground as the children cheered victory over their defeated foe. “If you lot are cheering for my death, who will mourn me?”
Out of the corner of his eye, he happen to notice a particularly lovely maiden passing by. “M’lady please!” He reached a hand out towards her from where he lay. “Can you grant a final wish for a dying dwarf? Please,” He paused to fake a cough. “I’m not long for this world. If you can do me the favor of singing a song until I expire or place flowers upon my grave, I would be forever grateful.”
