In Matthew 24, we’re given the fig tree as an example, saying when we see these signs coming to pass, just as one can tell when a fig tree is ripe, and knowing by its ripeness that it’s ready—making its ripeness the sign to look for so one would know of its readiness—that we would know the time of His return was at hand and the things written would surely happen as they were written, and by us seeing the signs that were given to us in writing thousands of years ago—as being what to watch for—in being aware of the time we’re living in and knowing the signs we’re seeing is like the ripening of the fig tree...meaning the time of readiness is at hand.

The time of Christ being ready to return to earth is at hand. As His word in Matthew 24 also tells us no one would know the hour, not the angles in Heaven, not even the son, only the Father, it also tells us there would be signs and when we saw these signs we would know the time was at hand so we could be spiritually woke and ready for His return—because that was the entire point of giving us the knowledge of the signs of the end times ahead of time—readiness ✝️
