Primarch Fighting Tierlist

Going entirely Pre-Heresy for this. Got the idea since the cursed-40k-thoughts human is getting asks/threads on it.

Tiers are in order, so better at fighting -> worst at fighting on the tier.

Some notes;

This is my opinion and if you want to have kindly discussion we can do so.

Konrad & Sanguinius are kinda tied but I think Konrad just being a gremlin with precog maybe makes him slightly better. Maybe.

Part of me wants to put Magnus higher but I know that's just bias talking.

The only tier I don't know the placements of/placements can vary depending on the winds is the "That sure is a primarch" tier. It's basically the group that's like "yeah. they sure can do the fighting thing." but they aren't considered Top Tier or anything. So don't take that tier's placement too strict.

Idk just cause you have,

1. Alpharius bottom tier: because he tried talking to Rogal Dorn mid fight (?), you probs shouldn’t go for that as proof considering the Alpharius Primarch novel as another source which cites him to be a good (above average combatant when he alphariusses his way to Horus in his own ship). (Check Alpharius: Head of the Hydra”)

2. Graham Mcneill says due to Magnus warp stuff he’d (theoretically) clap any primarch in a fight. Prospero happened because he wanted to punish his legion & himself (…).

3. Corvus went absolutely mental at Isstvan V, 1v2ing KC and Lorgar. (Check “The First Heretic” by ADB)

4. Fulgrim needs to be moved up a bit just because he is a brilliant bladesman and is described as being the “duelist” primarch if there ever was one. (Read up on Fulgrim, Lexicanum preferably)

5. (Maybe) move Leman Russ down a tier because he just isn’t on par with the others up there (now, in that order: Magnus, Sanguinious, The Lion, KC, Jaghatai & Fulgrim). The Lion in front of KC because he literally beat the shit out of Konrad multiple times (violently). (Check “Savage Weapons” by ADB & “Angels of Caliban” by Gav Thorpe/“Pharos” by Guy Haley for context on the 1v1s they had)

P.S.: this is post Angrons ascension, but The Lord of Iron beats DP Angron in a 1v1 with no Iron Circle help kust to prove a point (Perturabos most amusing/badass habit). (Check “Slaves to Darkness” by John French for that one)
