I genuinely hate the way people blame women for patriarchal violence like pedophilia and CSA. Olivia Rodrigo is not appealing to pedophiles by wearing a babydoll dress and you guys are seriously sick if you see someone wearing one and assume so. This discourse is so fucking stupid and it reveals disgusting things about the way people perceive feminine women. Tall women are constantly gatekept from their own womanhood and told they’re too manly or masculine while short women are treated like toddlers and constantly infantilized. People out here are just repackaging the same “what were you wearing” rhetoric to blame women for violence committed by men. My height has caused me to be infantilized constantly in my workplace, educational institutions, and social life. It doesn’t matter how old I am because my grandmother still experiences the same thing. Some people seriously need to reevaluate why they speak down to short women like the act of them existing and being feminine is some appeal to male pedophile rape fantasies. This feeling of entitlement to my body because of my height from both men and women is so disgusting. This specifically intersects with so many aspects of violence against other oppressed groups it is genuinely infuriating.
