The funniest thing about Will is how careless and nonchalant he sometimes is. He's the most normal guy ever and sometimes he reacts too normally to events that clearly imply more emotional involvement.
There's only one second life, and you're stuck in a survival game? "well i dunno maybe they warned us but we just didn't hear"
You are bricking up a man you barely know for no personal reason? "eheh sowwy"
There`s a huge bloodstain on the wall and a puddle of wax shaped like you under the stairs?
"yeah yeah cool and all but where's my slipper"
It's hilarious and a little creepy at the same time. There is something unnatural and inhuman about these reactions. It's like he doesn't fully understand exactly how people work.
With how things have been going in the series, it makes sense that one of the most commonly reoccurring predictions fans would have is that Logan will likely attempt to duck out in an upcoming episode. While that theory does seem very likely, I feel like I have to point out...
He's Already Trying
Starting as early as SvS, Logan has been explicitly excluded from the conversation in a way that had become impossible for him to ignore.
In fact, he only got involved in the first place when Janus summoned him, only to be immediately set aside once he had made his point (suggesting that had Janus not done so Logan wouldn't have shown up at al).
He was, naturally, upset by this since he does clearly desire to be included, but he tried to acclimate by adjusting his future involvement via the Lowdowns.
His motivations appeared sound, if a little sad, because he stated that this alternative stems from his inability to provide proper advice about the topic at hand.
All that got him was being further ignored by the others and completely evicted from the conversation by Janus.
And now, more and more, he doesn't even seem interested in showing up on his own lately.
Roman had to directly summon/trick him in order to get him involved, because otherwise he wouldn't have even shown up.
Roman wanted answers for the other sides' behavior, so he calls in Logan. But both times this has happened Logan has clearly been displeased about the whole thing, even throwing a dour "what do you need?" at Roman instead of any concern or intrigue.
(This applies for DWIT just as much as it does for this last episode, since the same exact thing happened at the start of both episodes)
And I've noticed that in these past couple of episodes, Logan has seemed increasingly uninterested or unwilling to participate in their discussions. He's always been the first to leave, the last to arrive, and usually forcefully involved via another side summoning him. And then, even when he engages with the topic at hand, he seems resigned and really just... tired.
Hell, this last episode was themed around Doctor Who, one of his favorite things, and yet he rarely showed any real enthusiasm or enjoyment. Sure, he was more agreeable when the idea was brought up, but he didn't show the same excitement he has in the past about his interests (i.e., Sherlock and Crofters).
He acts like he's going through the motions more than anything, like he's no longer interested in what happens next.
He's trying to stay out of it, has been for a while, and only voluntarily shows up and involves himself when it's his idea, like the Secret Santa and the (unsuccessful) cleaning venture in WTIT.
Logan stated in Moving On that as a manifestation of c!thomas' logic, he can't fully leave the picture, but it's clear by now that he wishes he could.
out of all the magnificent scenes in wids? this genuinely has to be my favorite and most underrated.
i fear this serves as logan's own version of roman misunderstanding janus' nod in svs.r. what happens here essentially is that thomas is trying to compliment logan for the effort he gave throughout the episode. logan retorts "and yet," in a very dejected way, as if to say "you compliment my efforts, and yet it was not enough." and what really seals the deal is thomas parroting it completely, a silent acknowledgment that he saw logan's failure this episode.
and to add more salt into the wound, this scene really captures the complete dissonance that logan and thomas work in. a common scenario in this video would be logan providing a suggestion only for another side to misunderstand his intentions. here, logan defers the decision-making to the rest in a similar fashion to anything post-lntao because, despite frustrated, he has already given his agency up. lntao has taught him that the others were better attuned with thomas' interests. thomas, however, recognizes logan's dejection more as frustration as is — he does not fully recognize the merit and sacrifice in his deference.
and my favorite thing about this scene (and some of the scenes before this)? the blurred lines between logan's own arc with thomas and nico's. i find it so fascinating that logan is thomas' own parallel in this romance arc, but while thomas vies for nico's attention, logan vies for thomas'. as what my oomf @orbmanson7 mentions, no wonder why logan has a bunch of breakup songs in his spotify playlist.
to fully grasp how much this episode services logan's arc, you must recognize that logan is in the same position thomas is in right now. there is so much Narrative Juice in the fact that he, dressed as the doctor, claims it would have been easier for the doctor in the show to simply isolate himself from his companions to not be pained any further.
what makes it more juicier, is that logan is spewing advice for thomas, hoping to better his situation, only to have his own relationship with thomas to be stagnating. there are SO many implications abt the fact that logan thought it logical to self-isolate from others if they are a source of constant hurt. and on top of that, thomas doesn't even recognizes how he parallels logan, so his compliments to him remain a little hollow because he does not see the true grit, experience, and intentions behind logan's conclusion.
why i know thomas does not fully grasp this problem he has with logan is when he says that he hopes that he isn't a constant source of hurt, since he and the sides change over the decades. the thing is, yes, thomas would never be a constant in all his relationships, because that is quite nuanced. however, the slight hesitation in logan that partially concedes that thomas sometimes changes proves that logan is currently struggling with thomas as his constant source of pain.
you must remember that logan is a ruminator, one that often thinks of what he had loss from thomas since college. he mentions that damn phd and college degree in most episodes, even the spotify playlist! the reason why the others concede better to the idea of hope and love prevailing while logan withholds anger is because he does not believe he's changing for the better.
there's such an awful power dynamic in the fact that logan has to help thomas, his main source of neglect, with an issue that parallels his own. because logan is literally watching his neglector say stuff that Love will Prevail :) when logan himself hasn't escaped that hell. that's why his eyes glowed — he was pissed, but he suppresses it because there is a chance he has resigned to that fatalism of things never being better.
tldr; logan just wants thomas to kinda love him back.

This is not "he is everything I don't want to be" behavior this is SIBLING BEHAVIOR
I stand by the fact that Roman does not hate Remus, he just feels like he cant be nice to him or interact with him the way he wants to because of how it'll be interpreted by the other sides. This is their real relationship, and anyone who has siblings will tell you this is not only normal. but GOOD.
look at Logan here and everyone's reaction to his "logic" in this scene:
all the other emotions are horrified by Logan's way of thinking here, but it is a trap that can affect anyone. when you've been through repeated instances of unjust treatment, pain or trauma (like all of those relationships ending poorly for Thomas), you might start to believe that logically you should expect pain, and should act accordingly 💔
to Logan, logic dictates that Thomas is the common denominator in all of the pain, and he should remove himself from the equation to prevent future harm. Logan isn't convinced by the arguments of the other Sides by the end of the episode, but he acquiesces because he acknowledges the others are experts in matters of the heart. based on this, i think the relationship with Nico is going to end badly, and that is how we're going to get our final side.
i think that Nico and Thomas will either break up explosively, or even if it's amicable, the pain of the breakup will be enough for Logan to 'justify' any furious or hurt response he has as rational, when he's actually experiencing a cognitive distortion. he's Logic, therefore he can't possibly be wrong, and he'll have just received another result confirming his hypothesis: that Thomas isn't suited for love and keeps opening himself up to pain. that flash of orange in Logan's eyes is a side almost always repressed by Logic.
