Sometimes N will look at Uzi and just have this thought that he doesn't deserve her. That he never did and he doesn't understand why she loves him at all. He looks at his wings and tail and claws and know she's felt ALL of them, and he can't even blame being lobotomized for some of it because he absolutely did have a choice to not hurt her. He knows she's the real catch of the relationship— she's everything he can never be no matter how much about himself he changes. He'll forever be haunted by his past.

And then she looks at him and says the exact opposite— that somehow he's the better of them, that he's the catch, that she's done so much wrong and can't make up for it like he can, that she knows she's the one that can't ever escape her past and worries he'll leave her over it.

And they both end up holding onto each other, trying to lift the other up, desperate to cling onto each other and not let the other say a thing bad about themselves.
