this is really important y'all. we always talk about dean and cas, i mean they do have a more profound bond, obviously, but cas is sam’s best friend too. sam just lost eileen, and then he watches his best friend get murdered by his worst enemy, just as he thought it might turn out okay.

you can see how relieved and happy he was when he saw cas come through LOOK AT THAT PUPPY but the fear and pain as the blade hits… god. his best friend. and then the mother he just got back from never having disappears as well, trapped in another dimension with a monster he has been tortured by himself. yet he still manages to run into that house for kelly and jack. even though lucifer is the father, sam knows that jack is also kelly’s and because of the pure goodness of sams heart he still cares - it’s obvious that they are gonna have some special connection in s13. i just have to talk about this. sam’s feelings is equally important, and after all that he has been through, he keeps on conquering. sam winchester is valid.

sam looks utterly relieved when cas comes back out of the portal, but if you’ve seen this episode, then those same hopeful eyes and happy smile make your heart hurt so much…

dean’s the grumpy uncle. i hate how he was the one who abused jack yet the narrative focuses on dean’s pain… pain because of what? driving a kid to suicide? he never even apologized to jack, and cas never found out how awfully his son was treated. this abuse apologism has unfortunately passed onto the fans and it’s absurd.
