Everytime I learn something new about Warhammer 40k it's against my will and it makes me do either the ಠ_ಠ face or the O_O face
I don't know why my chapter (loyal, dutiful, honourable, and pious Black Templars) are known as the lunatics when all the other chapters are more mentally unwell than us ಠ_ಠ
It's 5am... I'm just painting minis with my painting buddy... I'm only going to get 2 hours of sleep before work...
Made great progress on Brother Dreadnought though!
(My friend insisted that I add some hazard stripes to him... *coughs* I gave in cos I will never admit this to her, but Perturabo is kinda cool... I read the book she recommended. I actually kinda admire him just a little now... eww. Can't believe I said that)
But anyway, I was griping about how tiring it is to paint Cadians cos I accepted another Cadian commission
I told her that I'm about to go insane, but I need to steel myself cos I'm a professional, and professionals have standards
She told me I don't need steel. I need iron
And I immediately knew where this conversation was heading ಠ_ಠ
Omfg does she need to say IRoN WiThiN IrOn wIThoUt at least once every painting session ಠ_ಠ
I was literally like shut up shut up shut up but she continued talking over me and reciting their dumb Iron Litany
And their Litany is so frigging long. Who even has the time to listen to that?
Has any of those mongrel sons of Perturabo ever managed to complete saying their litany on the battlefield??
I just recommended Helbrecht, Knight Of The Throne to her (She's fuming now after reading it). A few of those iron traitors were trying to say the litany but our High Marshal was having none of it 🤣
High Marshal Helbrecht was literally like "Nope" *crushes skull* "Shut up" *Stabs* "No one want to hear this filth" *cuts mouth open* 🤣

Cos of the amount of Ultramarines I paint for my friends, I had to stock up on more blue paint
I received this (again) from the local hobby store
I acknowledge and understand my assignment (again...)
But the previous two people I handed these out to turned into a Salamander and a Dark Angel despite me purposely giving them black and yellow paint! They were supposed to paint Imperial Fists or Black Templars >:U
This free sprue has a flammer on it... so the Salamander is telling me to do the honourable thing and hand it over instead of looking for a new potential aspirant for my chapter >:\
^ the Dark Angels one is extra embarrassing cos she was initially drawn to the Death Company cos of the black paint I gave her...
...but she got confused between Blood Angels and Dark Angels... so now she's a Dark Angel cos she thinks The Lion is hot 🤦♀️
Everytime she explains what her chapter is up to, it sounds like this to me:
I asked her what they are repenting for and she told me that if I knew, she'd have to "remove" me ಠ_ಠ

She's sending me links to YouTube videos and the videos are like 1hour - 2hours long ಠ_ಠ

A moth landed on him 🤣
(or more like, he was trying to land on me, but missed and landed on Brother Dreadnought 😅... not sure why male moths like to land on me... but this is 100% normal. I'm a moth magnet 😅)
I took Reclusiarch Grimaldus' words to heart when painting him. As Black Templars, we should strive to bring light into the darkness... so it's kinda funny that a moth literally landed on him 🤣
Brother Dreadnought is a champion of the guards. He is such a beacon of light that even moths are drawn to him 🤣
^ oh yeah. The guy who commissioned me is letting me keep one more Cadian as a tip. I'm picking this one cos I like how he turned out. Tomas has a friend now and one more Cadian joins Brother Dreadnought's adoptive squad 😂
I have no idea who Creed is, but I was told to write CADIA STANDS and CREED LIVES on everything
So good for him I guess. I'm happy he lives

I was inspired by Helsreach and Knight Of The Throne. I'm slapping crosses on all Cadians that are donated on me
I mean, based on the little backstory I made up for this brother, this is what remains of the squad of Cadians who fought and died to protect his body until his brothers retrieved him. They are his found brothers now, so they deserve to wear the cross 🤣
I'm thinking of painting some graffiti on his legs. Like, the Cadians spray painted their squad number and wrote CADIA on him cos they consider him the guardian angel of the guard and an honorary member of their squad 🤣
But I'm not sure if that's very grimdark 😐
I'm still new to Warhammer 40k, so I'm not sure if this kind of stuff can happen???

I actually had a crush on Grimaldus? It spilled over into fawning over the chaplain in Space Marine 2 before I found out who he actually is...
Can't believe I got radicalised by the Black Templars in just 5 months 🤣. The two Ultramarines who got me into this regret exposing me to Warhammer 🤣

Okay fine, it was actually Priamus when I first read Helsreach. I was fresh off the Wiki page and didn't really understand what a space marine is, nor the culture of the Black Templars
In my ignorance, I even sided with the Salamanders 😅 (I'm joking!! Irl I actually really do side with the Salamanders. I just like Templars cos I find them so unhinged that it loops around to being cute)
But I recently re-read Helsreach cos I needed to quoted stuff/prove a point to my group chat
(they thought Grimaldus was like a super kind person and he's different from all other Templars cos he loves all humans. No. He isn't 😂. He's also disgusted by fleeing civilians. The difference between him and Helbrecht is he tries to hold back his natural disgust. But he's not above strangling people 😅)
I actually love Priamus now cos he's such a mood 🤣. And he's just trying to show that he cares in his own emotionally constipated and badly socialised way)

^ I wanted to use up some of my half used old paint. Some of them are like 8+ years old cos I used them for just 1 gunpla project, then abandoned the colour
I had some Mr Hobby H9 left... so I used it to paint my bases...
I had no idea I was using a vintage shade that's no longer avaliable 😭
When I ordered more H9, it's completely different now!!
I have to redo all my bases cos my dumbass painted like 20+ bases in advance so I can just use them as I build my minis 😭

They aren't supposed to change the paint shade cos now every single newly painted military mini won't match the colours of the older minis
