Kin =/= Gender

Kin definitely can affect gender, especially in mentally ill people who have issues with identifying their gender anyway. But kin cannot equal gender. It just isn’t a thing.

Kin does not mock the trans community. The most common arguments are “kin genders” (explained above) and “nounself pronouns” which were created by nonbinary kin for trans kin. If you aren’t trans, do not use nounself pronouns! They are not yours to use.

so I just did the theme for this lovely new blog! I do list my kintypes/fictives because I know that some people are more comfortable knowing, but you don’t have to look. My kintypes won’t come up unless I’m saying “me too!” to somebody whose kintypes aren’t fictionkin. so yeah, it won’t affect how I run this blog. in theory i’m like half okay with doubles sometimes but I would prefer if you didn’t specify kintypes. it just makes it easier to give general information.
