Dryya and Thistle had taken a break after crossing one of the bodies of water in Shellwood. Dryya decided to take a little stroll to recuperate from her inebriated state. As she was feeling better, and old friend caught her eye. She rushes up to her as she was speaking to another bug.

"Isma, what're you doing in Pharloom? Who's your friend?"

“Oh.. They're my baby.. My little one.. Remember the vessels? They were one of them, now they are free..”

*She smiled.*

“And, I've come to Pharloom to travel for a while!”

[Spotlight bows to Dryya, mimicking the way Grimm bows to an audience. However, unknown to Spotlight, as they went to bow part of their wings poked out of their cloak… Their wings were burnt.]

*Oh, she was devastated, she didn't want to touch them so they wouldn't be hurt, instead, she took their shoulder and petted it softly..*

“Im so sorry! I wish I could've protected you.. Im really sorry..”

Dryya watched awkwardly as the pair discussed the singed wind. While yes, she was familiar with wounds, she had no experience with wings (Do mantises have wings?).

"I'm sorry to hear that. Are you alright?" she asks the vessel, who funnily enough was named after a spotlight.

Y-yes, I am alright… There is no need to worry.

And you don’t need to apologize, Isma… This was from my own doing…and you are not at all to blame…

[Their voice was quiet as they remembered the day they burned their own wings… The only thing they could vividly recall was the agonizing pain they felt…]

*Then, she heared some bugs talking on the distance and approached slowly..*

[Spotlight was quietly speaking to their shade before sensing someone behind them. Quickly, they summon a flame into their hand and throw it in the general direction]

…Whoever you are, I advise you show yourself.

*She stepped back as she saw the flame, but then approached the voice.*

“Im sorry for scaring you. My name is Isma, im from Hallownest..”

*She introduced herself to them, hoping he was not aggresive..*

[Spotlight’s grip on their nail slips and falls to the ground as void begins to bubble in their eyes. Slowly, they reach into their cloak and pulls out a pristine clover

*She hugged them as soon as she realized, how could it be?! She thought all of the vessels died or disappeared! They are alive?..*

*And.. some seconds later she began crying.*

“M-My baby..”

[Void begins to leak from Spotlight’s eyes as they kneel down to hug Isma… Would they still dare to call her mother? …Absolutely!]

Mother… It has been so long… So long ever since I-… I failed… I still thank you for what you did… You had no reason…to save me, and yet…you did…
