Soundshower combines Tibetan Bowls, Chimes, Flutes and Overtone Singing to help shift and release stagnant energy and tension accumulated in the body.

Check out this video from Lamine Sonko & the African Intelligence who will be performing at Kindred's Bar of Bengal this Sunday, 9 Feb at 5:30pm. They are a 10 piece ensemble led by Senegalese singer/dancer Lamine Sonko, sharing a percussive blend of jazz, funk and soul.
Influenced by the infectious afro-beat music of West Africa, Lamine Sonko & The African Intelligence delivers contemporary African funk to the Australian music scene.
Kickstarting the show at 4:15p will be Milton, an 8 piece ensemble formed by percussionist Ray Pereira that offers a repertoire of original and danceable music underpinned by the polyrhythms of Africa, Sri Lanka and the Caribbean.
Tickets are just $12/$10 concession at the door and children under 8 are free. All minors must be accompanied by an adult.

Los Romanticos Melbourne's Premier Mariachis @ Kindred Studios SAT 1st FEB
Next Saturday, Kindred Studios will be transformed into a vibrant Mexican music and authentic cultural venue as Mariachi Los Románticos takes the stage.
Los Románticos will be playing authentic Mexican folk music (mariachi) with a stellar line up of Spanish vocals, guitar, bass (guitarrón), trumpet, violin in stunningly embroidered traditional uniforms. This band pelts out romantic lyrics, highly danceable guitar & percussion and supersonic horns to make your heart sing.
Supporting them with three swingin' sets throughout the night, the Mexicali Mamas will bringing you vintage Mexican rock n roll on vinyl records.
And to satisfy your tastebuds, Chingon - Cantina y Taqueria will be serving tacos from 6:30pm!
Their striking copper van offers a menu of traditional Mexican street cuisine such as soft tacos, charred corn, salsas, spicy soups and sopa secas. YUM!

Concession tickets must be proven with evidence such as student ID card or social security card. This is an over 18s event. Minors must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
YouTube recently hosted an event here at Kindred Studios that was a great success and a lot of fun. A panel of experts delivered their professional insights and answered questions from the audience.
The event was topped off with a social gathering and music in Kindred's Frontspace.

Tonight @ 7pm in Kindred's Frontspace! Byrum Bay multi-task master, Nathan Kaye + special guests, E'eda, Zulu Flow & more will be performing for The Hot Potato Campaign, a mission in Australia that was created to raise awareness for asylum seekers.
This will be Nathan's first show in Melbourne since his sold out performance with Pete Murray earlier in the year.

Mission
"The asylum seeker debate is the Hot Potato in Australian politics. Everyone’s talking, no-one’s listening. We aim to change that. That’s why we created the hot potato van. And on the eve of the general election we took it on the road. Visiting 10 towns over 10 days, Busting 10 myths, Serving 10,000 potatoes, inspiring 10 million conversations. This is what happened."
Kindred is now offering yoga classes!
Starting off in the month of December, yoga instructor Eva Bueman will be teaching morning classes every Tuesday and on Sundays until the 22nd. Then, kickstarting on January 12th, Eva will teach classes Thursday mornings until the 26th.
Classes will be held in Kindred's beautiful yoga and dance studio with ample space for casual drop-in students.
Class Schedule for 1 December 2013 to 26 January 2014:
Tuesday: 6:45am - 7:45am with Eva Tuesday: 9:30am -10:45am with Eva Thursday 6:45 - 7:45am with Eva Sunday: 10:00am - 11:15am with Eva
*Classes will be Closed from 22 December to 11 January for Holidays
Costs:
$15 / $12 concession per class $65 / $55 concession for a 5 class pass $120 / $100 for a 10 class pass
In addition, instructor Freedom Dance will be hosting 2 special events in December called "Dancing Freedom". Described as, "Layer dance, music, breath, intent, energy, prayer and mindfullness within a single practice for inspiration, liberation and participation. Dancing Freedom is an invitation to be more fully alive."
Event dates are Saturdays 7th & 21st December from 11am - 1pm.
In the 2014 new year, yoga class offerings will increase Tuesdays, Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays with with morning and evening options!

Philippines Relief Concert
Many thanks to all those who came out and supported Rockaid at Kindred Studios Frontspace last Friday night! Money was raised for an exceptional cause and donated to relieve victims of Typhoon Haiyan. It was was a wonderful night of music and attendees truly made a difference. Thanks also to the bands for their performances.

Kindred will be hosting a Philippines relief concert next Friday, 29/11 at 7pm to bring aid to the victims of Typhoon Haiyan.
Featured musical artists include Sushi, Our Tribe, Scotch C.O.K.E, Hot Sundae, and DOSE.
All proceeds collected will go to the Oxfam and Unicef organisations who are currently providing aid to victims.
Come out and make a difference while enjoying a fun night of music in Kindred's signature Frontspace venue.
