Sometimes just acknowledging them makes them act as if they've triumphed over your defenses of personal space and expectation of common decency.

People who get offended over fat-shaming should probably be reminded that shaming the fucking shit out of smokers and turning the perception of smoking into something trashy and deadly, rather than a cool thing everyone does, is what made millions of people all around the globe stop smoking.

We’re not gonna end the obesity epidemic by telling people that being obese is just perfectly fine and beautiful.

If we don’t shield the feelings of smokers, why do we shield the precious fee-fees of obese people?

Because being fat isn’t always a choice? Because people don’t deserve to be treated like subhumans for things that are obviously beyond their control? seriously, “precious fees fees?” Like…what kind of asshole…

People control what they put into their bodies so therefore they can have control over their weight. I don’t know why people can’t understand this… Yes there are some who have trouble controlling it but that number is quite small. Being fat is a consequence of not managing your diet correctly and not getting enough exercise. Weight is definitely controllable but you just have to have the right mindset.

Today’s society does cater to people’s feelings more than it should. I’m a chubbier person myself but I never get treated like a subhuman being nor do the people I know or have known who are also fat. Obesity should not be as glamorised as it is, just like anorexia shouldn’t be. 

If you believe that you are not in control of your weight and that “nothing works” then you haven’t tried hard enough or long enough to see results. So don’t sit there and tell me that it isn’t a choice because it is. You chose to let yourself get like that and now you have to take responsibility for it.

I don’t have to do anything for your comfort. You’re a complete and total stranger. You know absolutely nothing about me.  You seem very concerned with what I put in my mouth. If only you could control what comes out of yours.  I’m sure you can do it - it just takes the right mindset. You have to take responsibility for it.

Props to @firebirdscratches for that simple yet effective schooling. Also, this. It just so clearly shows the person's not at all familiar with the negative consequences that so many people do face. Which is great for them! But one person's experience and perception doesn't make it acceptable that other people are indeed shamed and treated this way. :/

Frisky Beast Review

So a while back, I saw some reblogs for @frisky-beast​ promoting their Kaiju line. I know a lot of people were particularly excited for their Shellshock model, so I want to leave an in-depth review of my order.

DO NOT BUY FROM FRISKY-BEAST!

First of all, it took THREE MONTHS to get my order. I received it today, 10-16-16, and I placed it on 7-15-16.

Secondly, the 'custom' job is terrible! This is Frisky Purple with a highlight? No. It's more like gross spray on snow. Terrible. (Correction: I ordered Natural Panther with highlight, not Frisky Purple. My issue isn’t the base color, however, it’s the so-called highlight job)

Third, and most importantly, THERE WERE BUGS! In the sealed packaging. Seriously.

Do NOT buy from Frisky Beast! I wanted to place a second order depending on my first one, but I'm going with Bad Dragon instead. In the time I had waited for this FB order, I had placed two separate (satisfactory) Bad Dragon orders AND converted two friends into placing orders as well. It's a shame, because there are products that I would still like to have from Frisky Beast. But with this long shipping, BAD custom job, and BUGS in the packaging, I feel as if I would be foolish to order from them again.
