May not get Jonsa this weekend
It’s looking very likely that we don’t get Jonsa at the end of episode 6. In fact there doesn’t even seem to be an epilogue set in the distant future according to the credible leakers. But I take comfort in the fact that a single Sansa and a single Jon will both be in the north when it’s all said and done. I’d like to think Jon returns back to Winterfell at some point for visits and maybe something more 😏
The Jonsa dream will be alive and well until GRRM says otherwise!
Jon was so astonishingly stupid in tonight’s episode that I don’t even think I want Jonsa to happen anymore. Why should Sansa settle for such a weak man?
Watching Varys get burned to death?
Letting Dany threaten Sansa?
Realizing midway through the mayhem that Sansa was right the entire time and inadvertently having the North take part in slaughter of innocent people?
He was absolutely pathetic in tonight’s episode.
If Jonsa doesn’t happen...
Then why did they do all of this?
Why make Sansa so jealous of Jon’s relationship with Dany, when her issue with Dany could have easily been strictly about politics, war, and family?
You’re telling me Sansa sassy pants Stark couldn’t have asked this question in a more scolding, sisterly, stop thinking with you dick way? She was heartbroken.
Not to mention the most obvious, confirmed by director interview, jealousy shot.
Next we see Sansa in this feast is her looking on at couples, hookups, etc. She looks sad. Sad in the way you do when you can’t even consider looking for love because your heart is already occupied by someone you can’t have.
There is also the systematic reintroducing of potential partners for Sansa, at least ones that have been theorized about by the fandom. Tyrion, Theon, Sandor, even Podrick got a hookup right in front of Sansa just to make it clear to the audience that this isn’t happening either. And for the fools who suggested Gendry, well, just ask Arya about that.
As for Jon, we don’t get much of his perspective this season, but we get an unusual amount of times that he asks Sam about Gilly, considering he’s never mentioned her since he yelled at her back in season 2. Sam brings her up to Jon before the Castle Black battle, and when he wants to go to Old Town. But even then, the conversation is more about sex in general and not about Gilly as a person. Now, all of a sudden Jon is so interested in how Gilly and little Sam are? He hugs her, like that’s just a thing Jon does, and feels her pregnant belly through all their thick furs, responding to it rather dramatically?
Look at his big dumb face. Jon wants babies, bad.
He talks about future generations in his eulogy, with Sansa behind him, looking down just as he says it.
There is also the glaringly obvious way that Arya and Sansa both don’t like Dany, but communicate it very differently, just in case the audience still needed more evidence of the difference between a sisterly disapproval and a jealous love interest. But the most interesting thing about the difference between Arya and Sansa is their response to Jon saying he’s not a Stark.
Sansa: You’re just as much Ned Stark’s child as any of us.
Arya: You’re my fucking brother, got it? Brother. B-R-O-T-H-E-R
It’s clear that Dany senses Sansa’s jealousy in the way all women can sniff out if another woman wants her man. Conveniently, Sansa’s name comes up while Jon was literally moments ago trying to get his dick inside Dany. She calls him out on it, and starts with the argument of Sansa wanting power. However, she quickly goes to a more ruthless tactic of trying to badmouth Sansa, disgustingly using her trauma as a evidence that she is damaged goods. If you can stomach a rewatch of that scene though, I find it conveniently sneaky of the writers to put this bit in there.
Almost like, she’s not your sister anymore. Reminding Jon and the audience that they barely had a relationship as “siblings” and when they met again they were both so different that it was like meeting for the first time. The relationship they built together, where they really start to know each other, is as adult partners.
Then there is this glaringly obvious clue.
Jon and Dany are not going to work out. Period. Sansa has no other love interests, and neither does Jon. Arya rejected marriage. The only options that make any narrative sense at this point are either everyone ends up alone and the Starks die out, or Jonsa.
It also makes a ton of sense for the realm, considering Jon and Sansa are both good leaders with shortcomings that are conveniently filled in by each other. Jon brings people together, inspires people, and is a proven hero. Sansa can play the game, thinks of the details, and plans ahead. Military and politics. Honor and justice. One just happens to be the rightful heir to the throne, the other is the key to the North with positive political relationship all over Westeros.
Plenty of people talk about the possibility of no Iron Throne at the end. I’m fine with that. It is a symbol of cruel and corrupt power. But at the end of the day, chair or no chair, there are still millions of people who need leadership. The realm still needs protectors. A decentralized government sounds great, but that doesn’t happen overnight. The people need Jon and Sansa both. Even if it is only the North they rule, I just don’t see how this ends any differently.
Agreed x100. I’m not going to lie, the current leaks are making me nervous. Everything looks good and would set up Jonsa perfectly but in the end, not Jonsa.
Jonsa hate from other fans borders on unnatural. No way a fictional “crackship” as they call it will get them this worked up if there wasn’t a chance it could happen. Or perhaps its the fact that Sansa is the only rival to Dany in the series when it comes to looks and pedigree ( a meta for another day perhaps?).
An entertainment magazine means absolutely nothing. In fact one that says endgame on the cover would have me think the opposite but yea sure the show and HBO spoil their biggest asset on a magazine cover.
I WILL ALWAYS SHIP JONSA.
I don’t care what happens.
These two are meant to be together and rebuild Winterfell.
First look into 2019 Season 8
and its of Jon and Sansa aka Ned&Cat Jr.
Why are they perfection?!
When antis are so adamant Jonsa isn’t happening,
I really believe they’re just trying to convince themselves because they know deep down there is a chance that it happens. Never have I seen a ship get so much hate on GOT. If you truly believed it wasn’t going to happen, you’d stick to shipping whoever you ship. I don’t believe Jonerys is going to happen but I’m not on here and other GOT sites bashing them all day long.
Thank You to All Jonsa Fanfic Writers
I just wanted to shout you guys out for you are all the MVPs! lol
You are some of the most intelligent and creative people I’ve had the pleasure of coming across online and have even inspired me to put some of my thoughts online as well.
With the lack of leaks for Season 8( yes I enjoy leaks lol) and the obnoxious witchhunt of the Jonsa fandom on pretty much all forms of GOT interactive sites, reading fanfics has become a great comfort.
Sansa Stark WILL Survive
Sansa Stark didn’t go through hell and back to regain her family and ancestral home after years of abuse and torture( both psychically and mentally), just to die in the last season (book) of Game of Thrones.
I ship her and Jon but even I’m level-headed enough to admit that a) it may not happen and b) Jon could very well end up dead at the end of this. I just don’t see any circumstance where Sansa is in a position to be killed. She is the lady of a great house not a fighter.
If she were to die, it’d be the exact opposite of what GRRM stands for as a writer.
Sansa as a mother fics
All I want to do this Saturday night is pass my time reading fanfics where Sansa has children. It doesn’t matter who its with, modern etc .
Please send your favorites!
He was the blood of Winterfell, a man of the Night’s Watch.
- Jon, A Storm Of Swords
I am Sansa Stark, Lord Eddard’s daughter and Lady Catelyn’s, the blood of Winterfell.
- Sansa, A Feast For Crows
Winterfell, he thought. Theon left it burned and broken, but I could restore it.
- Jon, A Storm Of Swords
It was only a castle when she began, but before very long Sansa knew it was Winterfell.
- Sansa, A Storm Of Swords
The only two Starks who refer to themselves as the Blood of Winterfell, and both have dreams to rebuild their home. 🐺🏰🐺
GRRM is a literary genius. He knows what he is doing when he plants seeds like this.
Sansa Stark is Amazing
Sansa Stark is ruling Lady of House Stark. She isn’t a regent ruling in the name of her underaged brother or son but has taken over Ned’s role as official head of the family. Forgive me if I’m mistaken but wouldn’t she be the first female ruler of house Stark?
How badass is that? She went from pining to being a lady subservient to her husband to being a Lady who is ruling her lands and making sure her people survive the great winter and war coming up.
I just now need GRRM to end the series with our girl holding her babies and being happy with the brave and gentle and strong man who is worthy of her.
Hi, welcome to the jonsa fam. 😊
Hello! Thank you for the welcome 😇
“I take this man”
- Catelyn Stark
This quote always reminds me of Jonsa. It was put in the show for a reason. After Catelyn says this, we’ve yet to see any couple really live by these words. We only see couples who lustfully jump into situations with no semblance of real love.
