The Naive

Maybe if I wasn't so naive I would have known... Known not to surrender myself to you. Known that this would all end soon and I wouldn't be ok. Known what to expect nothing from the only person I wanted. Known that night in November would be the last time I get this feeling of being on top of the world. Would've known that I would spent most of my year trying cleanse my system of you. I would have known not to be a such naive child. Not to dare seek love or affection from you.
