       a kiss on the cheek, and a warm mug is handed to the other. it appeared that they were going to get to watch a show. that was for sure. hopefully, however, nothing too bad would come of it.

      the words were a small comfort, something from the past that hadn’t changed. the god had never been one to offer guidance, and in a way offered clarity of a different kind. he had a choice, to move on, or to stay rooted in an age that meant nothing to the time currently. there was no comfort to be had, the differences between the three that remembered such an age keeping them apart. or at least. kept him from the others.

a j a w cracking yawn and he can only run fingertips over the blanket, reaching for his companion. one of the highlights, of being awoken to this strange new world, he admits to himself. there wasn’t a lot of... this. before.Â
this, being relaxation. comfort, the ability to live up to anything and everything because there were no expectations. he wasn’t responsible for the lives of thousands, he wasn’t responsible for their livelihoods, their crops, their daughters, their sons. a person was their own, and he coud’ve only dreamed of a reality like this.
