Liu qingge has many careless shixiongs, shiejies and shidis. Because of this, his big brother instincts activate very often.
When he sees Wei Qingwei’s hands with ugly looking burn marks during a meeting he gives the man a special ointment he personally made that is cooling and speeds up healing. WQW is a skilled cultivator and burns like this heal in no time, but he still finds it cute that his shidi cares for him and his discomfort.
Mu Qingfang often forgets to rest, going, at times, weeks without sleep. LQG is pissed off one day when he brings one of his disciples for treatment and he sees the dark bags under his shidi’s eyes. Immediately he drags him to his room to rest. Of course, MQF gets angry and tells him there’s no need to rest, patients need to be seen first. LQG assures him he will help and work alongside Qian Cao disciples to take care of patients, insists that MQF needs rest.
He assures him further by saying that if anything he cannot handle happens, he will wake MQF up. MQF reluctantly goes to sleep, his shixiong has good medical knowledge thanks to his peak handling dangerous things everyday. When he wakes up he does so 2 days later. He thanks and also apologises to LQG for sleeping for so long. Surprisingly, his peak is not in flames, the patients are treated well and the disciples are doing okay. He’s glad his shixiong cares for his wellbeing just as much as MQF cares for his. It feels nice to be worried about.
Qi Qingqi often has to deal with rich and entitled men asking for her hand. She is a strong lady, from a good family and with an unblemished reputation. However, some men do not take a “No” for an answer. And while she can handle them herself, LQG feels more than happy to kick those nobles out of his martial sister’s peak. Literally. He kicks them so hard they go tumbling down the mountain’s stairs. He and QQQ have tea afterwards and she tells him all the gossip she hears from her girls.
Shen Qingqiu is very careful when accepting drinks or food from people, he always checks if there’s poison or if the food and drink are laced with something else. However, one time during a gathering with many other cultivation sects he fails to detect his drink was tampered with. Immediately, he rushes and enters what he believes was his room.
He ends up entering LQG’s room. LQG sits on the floor while polishing Cheng Luan, when he sees SQQ looking pale and delirious he panics and asks what’s wrong, grabbing SQQ’s hand so that he cannot escape. SQQ tells him his drink was laced with a poison, he cries and begs LQG not to touch him.
Seeing SQQ’s strange behaviour LQG lets go of his hand and assures he will not touch him. He even leaves Chang Luan on the floor before informing SQQ that he will stay outside and guard the room. SQQ stays awake for many hours but eventually manages to fall asleep.
He sleeps the poison off, letting his cultivation do all the work. He is pleasantly shocked when he finds Cheng Luan still on the ground. A glass of water and a few sweets on the night stand. When he exits the room LQG is still standing guard with his back straight, glaring at anyone passing by the room.
Shang Qinghua often has colds. He is an outstanding cultivator, he shouldn’t get sick. However, that ice demon doesn’t seem to understand that humans cannot tolerate the cold of the demon realm, cultivator or not. LQG finds this out when he visits SQH’s office to, for once, give his paperwork on time so that he can leave as soon as possible for a mission.
It is then that he finds SQH on the ground, panting and with a high fever. SQH gives up and lets his shidi care for him. He watches as LQG takes off his robes and dresses him in more comfortable inner robes that are not soaked in sweat, watches as LQG brings a bucket of water and takes the handkerchief in his pocket before submerging it in water and squeezing, gently wiping SQH’s face and neck every half a shichen. He thinks he’s hallucinating when he awakes from his slumber only to hear LQG sing a common lullaby, a calloused hand carefully petting sweaty hair.
Yue Qingyuan often experiences chronic pain due to what happened in the caves when he was a disciple. It can get very bad at times, to the point that just lifting one arm feels like he’s being brutally stabbed. LQG notices when he sees a flicker of pain that comes and goes just as quickly on his shixiong’s face during a meeting. He also notices his shixiong’s hair looks a bit messier than usual, it’s a small detail, but something the observant LQQ notices immediately.
When he asks YQY about his expression earlier the other tenses and insists everything is fine. When LQG refuses to give up questioning him, he finally blurts out what’s happening. He confesses he cannot wash or brush his hair properly because of the pain he feels. At that, LQG offers his assistance.
Later that night, YQY is very embarrassed at being exposed, his scars out for his shidi to see. They’re ugly, raised and messy things on his skin, the slave brand having been cut repeatedly by his teacher when he was just a boy. It was unbecoming of a leader, he had said. Unconsciously, he sinks further in the bath LQG had prepared for him.
The eucalyptus and mint oils LQG had added to the water make him relax. He tenses back up briefly when he feels hands begin to gently scrub his scalp clean. The rose scented soap LQG had personally brought making him relax once again.
He sits there and closes his eyes, letting LQG do whatever he wants. Once his hair and body are scrubbed clean, he gets dressed and LQG orders him to sit down. He feels hands in his hair again. Gently massaging in oil and brushing it without any rush, braiding it nicely. YQY thinks they’re done for today, after all, LQG only offered to help with his hair. However, his shidi, like always, goes above and beyond and starts to massage his sore shoulders. YQY appreciates that his shidi is willing to take such good care of him.
The Zui Xian peak lord is very often found passed out somewhere on the mountain after testing a new batch of alcohol. LQG ensures he is safe before carrying him back to his home, where he tucks the man in and prepares a hang-over tea for when the man wakes up. The zui xian lord appreciates not having to deal with intense headaches thanks to the tea.
To LQG’s delight, the other lords are more responsible and give him no trouble at all.
