Oh hello! Thanks for stopping by. However, a little confession. I'm not the best person here for this particular question. One of my favourite ql shows is a gl, the japanese gl She Loves to Cook, and She Loves to Eat, but I have a huge gap in my ql watchlist when it comes to gls. There are several reasons for this which I won't bore you with now but I have seen a few of them over the last couple of years and I can tell you my favourites. If they are good beginner gls, I don't know.
🇯🇵 She Loves to Cook, and She Loves to Eat (2022-2024)
This show is very special to me. Their story and all the issues the show brings forward are so important. It's definitely the japanese take on gls so not really similar to thai gls for one but I can't talk about gls and not mention it.
A wonderful story, beautifully shot and with a great soundtrack. I wish I could see more of them.
🇹🇭 The Reverse Series
Reverse 4 You (2024) & Reverse with Me (2025)
I love timey wimey stuff so this was right up my alley. I think both shows have their flaws but I enjoyed the journey both times. I do think I enjoyed the second one a bit more than the first in terms of story.
Amazing series. So well executed, from the characterisation to the visuals and some great performances. Took me completely by surprise but it was an incredible watch.
This one is low angst, not a ton of conflict, mostly fluffy thai gl. Bodyswap can be hit or miss for me but I enjoyed it here. It's a cute show. Also I love the side couple so much.
I binged this one a couple of months ago and although it took me a bit to get into it, I really enjoyed a lot about it. By the end I found myself getting emotional a couple of times. It gets a bit melodramatic at times but the payoff it's really good imo.
I'm also really enjoying the current airing gl Love Beyond Dreams.
