starrydiamond said:"Um... Here." Despite not knowing him well just yet, in the spirit of the season Hikari comes bearing a gift! A fragrant bouquet of purple roses is handed over to Lelouch, stems tied together with a ribbon. "I didn't know what to get... But the color reminds me of your eyes. I hope they're okay." @starrydiamondβ
A gift...?Β
He had not expected a gift from...well, anyone here in the spirit of Christmas. He had not figured he knew anyone that close enough yet. Perhaps it was for some sort of reasoning, but it was for the color of his eyes it seems. Taking them into his hands, he smiled a bit as he looked to her with a nod.Β βThank you, Hikari. These are quite lovely.Β β

having just opened his business, hawks knew the challenges that came with it and knew that they would only be more difficult now that he really had no idea who he was hiring; regardless, it seemed like he had a pretty strong set of people with him now. hell, he even has klug doing the paperwork for him; at this point, birdβs eye was off to a very strong start and hawks couldnβt be any more proud. what was even more surprising for him was that so many people took interest almost immediately; had he known it would be this easy to kick his agency off, he would have done it ages agoβ with belladonnaβs crime rate unrelenting and never decreasing, he could definitely use the help.
as heβs placing a handful of decorative items in their respected locations ( gotta make this place look homey, after all ), he is promptly greeted by one of the new hires; without missing a single beat, heβs quick to swivel around on his heel to face the other while he talks and meets zero in a firm handshake while he introduces himself.
ah, man β¦ this guy was a really intense person.
β hah, gotta say, your enthusiasm is almost infectious. if itβs your thing, iβm not going to complain, but donβt feel obligated to be so formal with me. β
β at the end of the day, weβre both doing the same job, yeah? β leaning against the empty receptionist desk, he offered a small grin. giving the other a brief once over, he opted on going for a more subtle approach at satiating his curiosity. β βso, zero ! you got any kind of questions? youβre the only guy that showed up in a costume, so iβm pretty curious myself, not gonna lie! β
A firm handshake, and an impression to make him last that he takes his job seriously. Upholding justice was a meaningful thing, and there was no better light to stand in than that of the light of the people. The first step, and the first break inside to the structure of this island. For now, he would be getting a name for himself here among the heroes of the fair city.Β
βThat we are. We all have the same objective and goal in mind. To make the city a relaxing and peaceful experience for the duration of their stay. While we are here, we may as well make it easier for the people who cannot do it themselves.β Protecting the weak was something he had always been caring for expressing, as well as make the strong be fearful of an enemy they do not want to cross. As far as questions go, he did...have a few, but he would need to be careful about how and when to ask them.Β
βI do have one question I hope to ask you. Those wings of yours, Iβve never seen a...ability like it that manifested like this. Is it a common gift in your world?β
what shape does your pain take?

SEA.
Youβre drowning. A sea of emotions, responsibilities, people, things, everything. You just canβt handle it all, you need to escape, but you canβt. Even talking to someone and being told itβs okay, compliments, nice things people say, it all adds up to drown you further. Guilt, for feeling this way when everyoneβs being nice and youβre not enough. Will you sink or swim?

Β Β Β Β Again, she laughed but this time it was a little louder than before. With his long legs and physique, the redhead had no doubt that he could be an amazing runner. He just had to work on his confidence apparently.
Β Β Β βOh donβt be silly! Iβm sure you could hold out just fine,βΒ she assured him. Even if he wasnβt exaggerating, everyone had to start from someplace and with the right conditioning, maybe he could even keep up with her.Β βBut that can wait.β
Β Β Β At his offer, Pyrrha blinked and immediately she shook her head.Β βThereβs no need, Lelouch! I am more than capable of paying for my own food β in any case, I should be the one to treat you. Iβm already putting you out enough by asking you to show me where theyβre located.β
βIf only you knew.β Good god did the great deities above not bless him with endurance. His low endurance was the lowest trait he had to his name. Well, for now in a place like this it was not the most needed thing. He had his way of handling things that would require the labor of that sort.Β
βAww come on, what are friends for? Besides, I want to treat you. You can take care of it next time, how about that?β With that, he took her hand lightly and began to drag her towards the canal bridges across the way towards the middle of the area of the city. The tasty eats were in that direction, and they were not gonna quiet her stomach without their aid.Β βDo you have any allergies or distastes?β
He was fiddling with the golden ticket in his hands. Eventually, he was going to find out its significance, but curiosity kept itching at him. What does it do? What can be obtained by this?
ofpolarityβ:
Β Β Β Β She laughed.Β βIf youβd like we could also go on a run,βΒ it sounded enjoyable enough. Just as he said, they were stuck and there was no telling for how long theyβd be living in Koi. With the way sheβd left things back home, Pyrrha couldnβt afford to slack off while she was here. Running, sparing, trainingβ¦ all of it would have to be worked into her day to day life here. Though, as soon as she suggested the activity, her stomach rumbled rather unbecomingly prompting an embarrassed pink blush fall across her cheeks.Β βI suppose not.β
Β Β Β The redhead was immediately intrigued by his suggestion. Of course, sheβd heard of food trucks back in Mistral but even mention of them were far and few in between so she had never personally seen one, let alone eaten at one. Though, the Vytal Festival could be a close comparison.
Β Β Β A small twinkle worked its way into her green eyes.Β βA food truck? Do they have those here?β
βWe could, but it would be the shortest run ever. I wasnβt built to have high endurance. Itβs my weakest subject.β Even Shirley and the prez had more speed and endurance then he did, and he was the former king of the entire world back home. Granted he never really needed such a thing, since with all the technological advances back home he had more than enough sources to not worry about such things.Β
They both looked to each other as they listened to her own stomach making it known that at least one of them was hungry. He chuckled at this, finding it rather cute. Least she had an appetite.Β βI think they do. They have several by the canal paths around where that movie theatre and shopping district is. Why donβt we go and head over there together? My treat.β It was only fair.Β
She was his first friend here after all.Β
The objective was clear. Retrieve the stolen goods for one of their own. Personally, he has not met all of the other side-kicks at the hero agency, he does know that he has been told to offer his assistance to make the retrieval easy and smooth. With his talents, and with a little help with his power, this should be well within his limits. For now, he was going to go and meet up with the one who had the supplies intercepted.Β
His helmet was on securely, and the panel that opened up when he desired functioned. For now, he had it closed as he approached the weapons shop. Busy women to own her own shop and also assist those in need. A weapon shop though....that gave him some notes to come to her later as himself without giving away he was zero. He entered inside, knowing the woman was one of red hair. Though not quite like his friend, it was a darker red. She was easy to find, as she was about a foot shorter then he was. He approached calmly, looking to her and speaking clearly.Β
βMrs. Rose, I have heard of the ordeal of the situation that is before this shop. Have no fear, together we shall find the culprits and return the stolen supplies to you. Justice will be on our side by the end of the day!βΒ @rojosesβ
A hero agency.Β
If those back home were to go and learn of his first step of any sort of job here, they would certainly find the irony of his current move. While the organization he had made back home were knights of justice, his actions and goals were more than less gray area actions. The throwing of a major empire that controlled over a third of the world was needed for such actions. Here? Not so much. The mask and outfit of the one who leads the black knights were still his here, so he may as well get a name and reputation for himself.Β
Zero, the knight of justice. A hero.Β
What an ironic ring to it all.Β
His helmet kept his face hidden, as the rest of his get-up kept the noticeable markings of himself out of view. There was a special panel inside the helmet to reveal a small fraction of his left eye to those whenever he desired. That was to use his power and keep himself hidden. The voice configuration also made it harder to reveal his true voice. In contrast, it sounded more vocally ranged and louder than normal. It was with this revival of zero, and his first move in this place, that he arrived at birdβs eye agency today.Β
He enters inside the building, looking for the man with the special wings himself. Was it an aspect of his power, or was it a tech he had created himself? That was one of the motives he had chosen to join. Gaining information in any way and acquiring new sources. That was the essential key to taking a system and crushing it. He identified the man as the one he had spoken to earlier, approaching him calmly as he extended out a hand to properly greet him.Β
βHawks, I believe a proper introduction is in order here. I am Zero, and it is an honor to be assisting you here to uphold justice in the city.βΒ @vvingheroβ

Just as Djeeta thought Lelouch couldnβt impress her any further, he did with his accomplishment. To have started with the ground itself so that the seeds that would grow from it wouldnβt be tainted by the soil. Even so, his confession that he did so with his death shook her slightly. The Lelouch she knows was alive and well, furthering the pizza business he ran on the ship with his friends and sister. (All to help with the cost of maintaining their Knightmares). What would that mean for them in the Skyrealm if they found their way home?
Sheβs no stranger to the idea of alternate worlds or versions of people. All thanks to a certain day in a certain month that Vyrn(?) would break through dimensions and challenge the crew. There were always strange powers at play and rarely did she seek it out.
βIt really doesnβt sound like the best way to plant,β she agreed, a solemn smile upon her lips. There were loved ones she couldnβt leave behind. βThank you for the advice. Iβm Djeeta, by the way.β
Her expression, perhaps it was not the best way to go and tell someone you are supposed to be dead right now. He has a scar across his chest over his heart from the wound he had felt of Suzaku's spear stabbing right into him. The pain, mixed with the adrenaline had been intense. Yet at the last few moments of life, he felt himself being the truest then he had ever before.Β
That was then, and here he is in the now.Β
βMy name is Lelouch Lamperouge. Though feel free to call me Lelouch.β He spoke calmly, saying his name as clear as he could to djeeta that he could. He was sure he was saying it clear enough for most people to be able to remember.Β βWhat is your plan for the day now, Djeeta?β
tornhatβ:
Β A war against the whole world with his dear comrades. The familiar nature of the phrase spurs something bittersweet and melancholic in his chest, only shown as a brief flicker in his gaze. No wonder they seemed familiar. Possibly unexpected for someone with an attitude like his, he didnβt interrupt the strangerβs reminiscing; rather, he listened quietly and carefully, hands in his pockets and gaze set on something in the distance. Nothing personalβ just deep in his own train thought. Even if direct eye contact wasnβt his thing, he could see a similar tale in the way the man held himself.Β
Β A couple of bastards whoβd been through hell and back, striking up stiff conversation. Such was the way of Koi, he supposed. He shrugged off the apology, a sigh slipping his lips.Β
Β Β β β¦Itβs fine. People tend to try shit with me pretty often. I reacted badly. β Spoken calmly and quietly, his tone lacking in its portrayal of the genuine nature of the words. The tension in his shoulders lessened a fraction. He wasnβt at the point of trust, not even remotely. But he could respect common ground.Β β Should put a name to a face.Β Jotaro Kujo. You? β
βIt is understandable, given the circumstances we are currently facing here. The boundaries and ramifications of this world alone go beyond normal understanding. The fact that you and I exist here together must be a hint itself.β Otherworlds, other times even with other circumstances, and along with other challenges. His world, riddled by betrayal and war for the entirety of the world. Whatever this man must have fought would be something that caused him to adorn the eyes of a king.Β
βLelouch Lamperouge. Simply Lelouch is fine by me if jotaro is fine with you then.β Looking a bit closer, this guy could probably flatten him with a single arm! Military standards had nothing on him it seems.Β
ofpolarityβ:
Β Β Β Β Her previous smile returned, tenfold and completely genuine, as she nodded. There was no reason for her to doubt him, and truth be told, this wouldnβt be the first time someone had confessed having trouble spelling her name. And of course, she was sincerely grateful to have a friend like him; one that offered to come along with her even when the errand was as mundane as grabbing a bite to eat. Her heart swelled.
Β Β Β βAre you sure? I wouldnβt want to put you out. If you have something else to doβ¦ I am not even sure what I want,β she trailed off. There was a part of her that hoped that heβd join her, but the more sensible part of her told her not to be disappointed in case heβd already had plans.Β
Β Β Β Pyrrha held out her hand for his phone.Β βPyrrha β P-Y-R-R-H-A. But no worries, I can write it in myself if you would like.β
βDonβt be silly, pyrrha. Itβs not like we are going on a run or something. We are stuck here, so itβs not like I got anything else to do. Besides, time with someone as kind as you is enjoyable.β The geass seems to be stable. There was...too many variables to worry about when people were left to their own devices. Suzaku had left that impression on him a bit too much, especially with the whole situation with nunnally being apparent from back home.Β
Life was not the same here. But was he destined to continue the isolated road of the king?
Those who he has gotten let close to him, have either been killed, betrayed him, or he has disappointed them severely. Yet, he tried.Β βWhy donβt we go to a place where you can get multiple options? Perhaps a place like a food truck?β
ofpolarityβ:
Β Β Β Β Her smile didnβt falter as he snatched the wallet from her hands. It was understandable. After all, she was a stranger and there was absolutely no reason for him to trust her even though she was being honest. She really had only checked to make sure she was returning it to the correct person, nothing else. Her hands, now free, fell to her sides before she clasped them behind her back.Β
Β Β Β βNot at all,βΒ she began, red tresses bouncing as she shook her head.Β βIt could have happened to anybody. Though, perhaps it wouldnβt hurt to be a little more careful with your belongings.β
Β Β Β Pyrrha laughed in good nature. About to open her mouth to assure him once again that it could happen to anyone, the huntress to be found herself frozen and mouth slightly agape as she stared into his eyes.
Β Β Β βOf course I will be; without question,βΒ Pyrrha agreed. Blinking, her hand slowly lifted to her head (eyes turning back from the glow that had overtaken them).Β βI, um, what were you saying, Lelouch? Iβm sorry, I must have spaced out for a bit; I havenβt had lunch yet.β
The reaction, along with the small glow that had occurred across her eyes indicated all he needed to know. It had worked, but now to see how long it will last. If it was like before, it would be till death. Though, with that geass as a measure for now and as a test, he will be able to see what else he can do in this city.Β
βDonβt worry, you were simply mentioning you wanted to go and buy something to eat right? I offered to go with you.β He spoke wholesomely, looking to her as she was lost a bit in confusion. It was the after-effect of messing with someones nervous system after all. Geass was powerful.Β
βThat reminds me, I am having trouble typing your name into my phone. Itβs uniquely spelled isnβt it?β A more obvious way to get her name without riddling his newestΒ βclose friendβ with wondering why he couldnβt have her name already known.Β
ofpolarityβ:
Β Β Β Β Β She exhaled a soft sigh of relief. Despite knowing heβd heard her in such close quarters, there was still no promise that he would acknowledge. He could have thought her some kind of salesperson, trying to make a quick buck off the first person she set her sights on. Offering him an easy smile to assure him that she meant no malice β she didnβt want him thinking she was wasting his time, either β Pyrrha approached him.
Β Β Β Digging into her own pocket, the redhead pulled out a wallet and held it out toward him.Β βYou dropped this some ways back.βΒ
Β Β Β βI attempted to catch your attention as soon as I saw it fall,βΒ she laughed quietly, sheepishly,Β βbut you were already too far to hear me. I only opened it to check for some sort of identification, but I can assure you I touched nothing else.β
His wallet?!Β
He was a bit quick to grab it, looking at it as he opened it up and checked for the pictures inside. Okay, they were still here. Both of C.C and the one of nunnally, so then the rest of the objects were inside. There was...a small twist inside of his chest as he looked to this woman. It was a familiar sensation, thinking of being bowed down before his father as he was gone and betrayed by the very closest friend he had to him. The notion was something he had been just thinking about.Β
A test subject.Β
βWhy thank you so much. It seems I was a bit careless with it all and didnβt notice it drop out of my wallet. I can tell by this act...β
He looked to her, the color of his right eye quickly changing as a strange shape came across it as he began to speak to the girl again. Geass, the power of absolute command that he had in his body was now about to be tested once more. A simple test this time, as he figured that someone as kind as to return his wallet will be the most ideal type to amass for himself.Β
βYou will be a loyal and true friend of mine, wonβt you?β
magicannonβ:
@kingmartyrβ
Lord, above every other thought Marisa could have mustered up about this place right now, the magician really wished she had been given her scarf in the so-called βwelcoming packageβ she had been granted. The mushrooms were nice and all, sure- the guidebook not so much- but it was too damn cold out!
Huffing to herself only to see her own breath in the frosty air, she took a large sip from the hot chocolate that she had won earlier in a futile attempt to keep herself warm despite the frigid chill. Honestly, she had no idea what to make of anything here. Something feltβ¦ missing, and the blonde couldnβt place what the hell it was. She didnβt like feeling such an emptiness weighing heavy on her chest, and her hands had been itching to do something to take her mind off of it since the moment she had woken up here.
Literally itching. The bitter sting of the cold had left her hands numb, sure, but she was still trying to puzzle out a way to βborrowβ some things from others without getting caught. Her apartment felt far too empty right now; Marisa absolutely hated it. Before now, she had never realized how much she had depended on the organized (not really) chaos that was her own house. If she could just find someone with a good book or two to snatch up, maybe that would helpβ¦ wait, did this place have a library? She honestly had no idea.
It was more than likely that she looked more than a little lost and dumbfounded right now, standing out in the streets and seemingly not having any idea where to go.
Crime in this city was low, if not practically mundane trivial matters that he didnβt even deem to be called a crime. The mindset he had come and adapted to the years of challenging an entire empire was an easy routine to go and fall right back into old tricks. Old habits did, in fact, die-hard. Simply reading a book in the open to seem likeΒ βordinaryβ as he could be all he could go and focus on. The book itself was the fictional book of the islands of oasia, where a pirate crew had gone and captured something truly spectacular; a siren of the sea.Β
Though, it seems that he was not the only one who was trying to adapt to this place, as well as the cold. The shivering and lost sensation on the girl's face was obvious, to anyone who saw. Especially to someone who was known for reading people as well as Lelouch was. His ballpoint pen placed in the current page, closing it and placing it into his coat pocket before standing up, walking tot he clearly lost puppy-eyed lady. He could help if he offers.Β
βExcuse me miss, are you in need of help?β
skiesadieuβ:
Djeeta allows his words to sink in, the imagery painting a picture in her mind. She imagines his garden as well, the optimistic side of her finding comfort in such a place. It sounded ideal and it worried her, causing her to recall how easily a perfect picture could be ruined. Throughout her journey she had encountered many different individuals whose own ideals clashed. It brought about conflicts big and small. Then there were the machinations of the True Kingβs plans that turned the wheels of a plan that she already felt was not beneficial for her world.
It is true that no perfect crop could exist. Could there ever be a perfect one? If it wasnβt skydwellers fighting each other then there were other threats that sought to bring destruction to their skies.
βWhat makes the best seeds?β The captain is thinking about her own skies, scattered islands and difficult boundaries to even fathom crossing to traverse into other skydoms. Is it touching the hearts of those you meet? Could it be forging the path so that others may follow? βHow did you plant your legacy?β
The best seeds. There was only one true answer he could think of.Β
βI left the ground to be unburdened. No toxins of hatred, selfishness, or greed to corrupt the seeds of those to come by taking in the toxins myself. I ended the chain of hatred....with my own death. At least, until I came here.β He was a man, revived from the dead as if he was anew, and now he was left wondering of the family and friends he had entrusted his legacy. The black nights would protect his sister, his best friend her advisor, and his dear war-driven world would be finally at peace.Β
But there was too much pain across his soul. Too much blood he has spilled. Millions upon millions of lives it cost for peace.Β βNot the most recommended planting, I advise.β
