Let me just start with saying, that when I came upon the name Clive Calder for the first time, I saw an accusation from a fan saying that he’s Eleanor’s father. I thought it was only coincidence that they both have the same last name. I doubted that he was related to her, until I decided to scoop up information about him and his personal life. Due to his strict privacy about his personal life, there aren’t much information to find out about him…

Here’s the thing.

I will defend Taylor Swift’s right to write as many cliche, teen-pop, break-up albums as she wants to.

And I won’t even criticize her for being overly emotional or whiny or self-pitying because she’s fucking 23 years old.

And you know what? I can relate to a lot of her music. Break-ups do suck, boys can be annoying, and (although I don’t condone blatant slut-shaming, obvs), it CAN be frustrating to watch a boy you love be with another girl.

I don’t contend that she’s “too old” to be writing the kind of music she writes— she’s YOUNG. She still has plenty of time for her music to mature.

I honestly think that Taylor Swift has some inherent talent, charm, likeability, and that’s she well-intentioned. I really do.

And if you’re going to bash her for being with too many guys or if you’re going to invalidate her emotions (whatever they may be, in whatever song), you’re simply sinking to the level you accuse her of being at. That’s not okay.

I even think it’s okay (and even admirable) that she will directly address guys in her music. That’s cathartic. That’s her perogative as an artist and a person, and people have been explicity dedicating songs (negative and positive) to other people since the beginning of time. If you want to have that moment, on your own album, go ahead.

All of that established, for her to call out Harry Styles by singing in a British accent AT THE GRAMMY’S is the pettiest shit I have ever seen, and honestly disrespectful to the institution of the event and its cultural significance.

She and Harry dated for like a MONTH, first of all. And I’m not going to tell her that she’s not allowed to be pissed off, because I have no idea what went down between them, I don’t know either of them personally, and I have no right to judge.

But she needs to maintain some professionalism. If you want to call him out, call him out, but not ON STAGE AT THE GRAMMY’S.

Ooh, good one, you mimicked his voice on live television.

How petty, immature, publicity-stunty can you get, honestly?

I have no respect for that at all.
