Adding "how did Krauser and Leon get back to the US after Operation Javier, especially since Krauser knew by that point that the mission was intended to kill them" to my list of Top 5 Unanswered RE Questions.

Because this is really interesting to me and depending on how they play it, that changes things a lot. OJ was years in the making, this wasn't some last-minute thing the government threw together. And if Leon and Krauser were the only survivors and Krauser knew that the government was trying to get them killed and Leon hated their asses anyway, surely the two of them wouldn't have willingly gone back to the US, as in they wouldn't have tried to fight there way home. Which means that until they were extracted... were the two of them on the run? Were they living alone in the jungle together trying to cope with the grief of not only watching everyone else around them die, but also their own near-deaths? This was practically the end of the world for Krauser, who apparently dedicated his entire life to the service only to find out he was nothing but expendable. Did the government have to track them down and kidnap them both to get them back to the US? If so, how long were they "missing" for-- weeks, months, over a year?

These questions are rhetorical since they're all unanswerable by the current lore but fuck do I need more info on this new version of OJ 'cause it has to potential to be even more gay than the original like this would be the perfect fic set up: two men, who clearly have something going on, get deployed for what's intended to be a suicide mission. They become the only survivor's, Krauser is forced to accept that the government/military never cared about him as a person and he was nothing but a number and a weapon to them, they're both likely assumed dead and have to start a new life together in the middle of a jungle after watching all of their friends die, and they're now away from the watchful eyes of the military and DADT. Dare I say that would explain a lot of the sexual tension between them.
