anderperry headcanons (freaking finally)!!!
todd fell first, neil fell harder (I'm talking about the poetry scene - that's when It properly kicked in for neil)
neil has never been more grateful to share a room at Welton in his life
whilst neil gets really hot at night and wants to basically sleep naked with no blankets, todd gets really cold, so they end up having to compromise one night at a time (they settle on having one blanket, the window open, and cuddling).
neil's favourite hobby is watching todd write; Todd's favourite hobby is watching neil run lines. sometimes todd will randomly ask for a synonym of something and neil just shrugs because he's too busy watching todd grip his pencil harder whenever he's stuck on a line.
in the future, obviously neil would be an actor, but he'd keep todd out of the spotlight. todd would be a poet and write under his own (sometimes they're spotted together at coffee shops so there's some internet speculation about them)
they'd be girldads with cats and a dog. (they'd be matching with boydads knarlie btw and have silly playdates). they'd all have theatre-inspired or poetry inspired names (for example, their cat would be Keats I BET.)
surprisingly, todd was the one who confessed to neil, the night of the show: he was feeling so happy from seeing him act that it just flooded out of him. neil looked so shocked for a moment and todd worried and tried to backtrack, but it all worked out in the end.
todd had knox as a confidant, and neil had Charlie; they both knew that they liked each other and would pull all sorts of wingman stuff to try get them together naturally. for example, Charlie would shout stuff like 'boy, neil, you sure do love poetry-writing blonde boys, don't you? DON'T YOU?' and knox would do similar things 😈
when they finally got together, Charlie and knox acted like it was their greatest pulling off of the century (they went on a date to celebrate)
todd writes poetry about neil but never shows him. one time todd left his notebook open and neil had a sneak peek. it was the most beautiful thing he's ever read.
similarly, neil dabbles in screenplays, so he makes the kindest, sweetest characters inspired by todd.
