nick and judy aren't a couple but they've definitely fucked and some of you aren't ready for that conversation
I'm ready for that conversation, let's have it, go ahead:
the people who accuse disney of straightbaiting with zootopia are both stuck in heteronormativity AND allonormativity bc they first fail to recognize that men and women can be in committed platonic relationships with each other (instead viewing romance as a default) then also fail to even consider that a lack of romance doesn't always equate a lack of sexual attraction
personally i headcanon them as being in a qpr but also that they def wouldn't even know that's like a real term

a hare is kind of like a bunny but long like a cat and witness to the horrors
voltron wallpaper I made
Ok might as well post this too since I accidentally posted that lmao
what people don’t understand about how adhd is disabling is that it’s not just getting temporarily distracted from, like, school work or hobbies. it’s getting distracted/being unable to motivate yourself to go to the doctor, eat regularly, do hygiene tasks, etc. it’s not knowing when or how long it will take you to do something, ANYTHING, and in many cases that thing is taking a shower or keeping your house from turning into a biohazard. it’s about being fundamentally incapable of controlling your attention and focus on anything, even and especially things you need to do to survive.
a series of notebook pages from highschool i found (for your viewing pleasure)
today i woke up early to go to the library, had a family outing around lunch, and now i'm abt to head to work and it's kind of like i'm having 3 whole days today
Asking for touch as an aspec is so weird like “hey, please touch me, but not in a sex/romance way, just in a human contact way. Interact with my body’s touchscreens. Punch me in the face or something. Please. I’ll take anything at this point.”
Edit: of course everyone here has blanket permission to tag this as Blorbo from their Shows. We love seeing representation, implicit or explicit.
i do kinda wanna know what people like sexually not in a weird way and i never would just casually ask anyone like i am barely a sexual person at all at this point myself. but i do wonder in my head from like a pure place of curiosity like what do you like and why and can you write me a dissertation on the different aspects of why you like what you like and how has that changed or developed as your relationship with yourself and the world has changed and developed and like whats your deal
Once when I was in undergrad, someone described something as “problematic” in class and our professor was like, “That’s cool, but ‘problematic’ doesn’t really mean anything. It means that the thing you’re describing has a problem, and in and of itself that’s not bad. Art, especially, should always have problems, or else it’s not interesting and not art, either. It sounds like you’re trying to say that this is bad, but you don’t want to say ‘bad.’ Is that right?”
So from then on whenever one of us called something problematic, he would make us talk it out until we could name the “bad” thing we were hinting at. In this particular class, 7/10 it was some type of oppression, and the remainder was like, “I’m uncomfortable because this is very new/confusing/pushing boundaries that made me feel safe.”
Once we stopped calling things “problematic” and stopping at that, class got way more interesting and... we all had to say, like, “that’s racist” or “that’s misogynistic” or “ew capitalism gross” out loud, which a lot of us had never done in a classroom before. Or we had to be like, “Uhhh... I’m not sure what’s so bad?” and confront our own beliefs and that was maybe even more useful.
Anyway. Whenever I see the word problematic, I can’t help but think of this professor being like, “Good starting point, now let’s get specific.” I think when we have to commit to saying “that’s ___” it requires a lot more careful thought about the truth and impact and complexities of whatever we’re claiming. Sometimes there really is some bullshit afoot, and also sometimes it’s art, and it should be full of problems, because that’s what art is.
i think i need to meow at the top of my lungs or maybe be lobotomized
recently coming to terms with the fact that i'll never be the cowboy
my personal argument for open borders is really simple it just boils down to "i believe restricting human movement and barring certain people from certain places on this earth is a human rights violation"
i mean this. everyone should be able to walk freely between mexico and the united states, fuck an ID, fuck a passport, fuck a visa. it's land, continuous, uninterrupted land. the soil on one side of the fense has the same geologic makeup of the soil on the other. we drew this invisible line in the sand, we can wipe it away with our feet together. it is well past time the world organizes en masse for our freedom of movement.
so i have no interest in being a man or even masc but i just tried trans tape for the first time and holy shit why didn't i try this sooner all my insecurities just went away kind of
I think ao3 is literally the only site where no censorship means no censorship. you can post the most vile things on there — things that will get taken down on any other platforms — and ao3 will protect you, your works, and your rights to create whatever you want, however you want.
and no, this isn’t me saying “write that messed up, disgusting thing” because while, yes, write it if it’s what you want (I myself enjoy writing dark fics, something I believe would be considered “vile” to a lot of people), this is me saying in a world of censorship and capitalism, ao3 really is a treasure.
everybody say thank you ao3
