With his wounded ego Kaiba would return home, his mind racing with thoughts of his revenge on the duelist responsible for the fire lit in his chest. She underestimated him, took advantage of an obscure, possibly illegal, card to win their duel- he had no intentions of losing again.
He didn't see his bed that night, far too preoccupied with his search, and it hadn't taken all that long for his contacts to start showing results. Whispers of a "Berserker", a woman by the name of "Kiiro no ryū", the leader of "The Yellow Dragons" caught his eye. She was well known in the criminal underground for her poor temper and wanton cruelty- she was exactly the kind of target he loved to bring to their knees. It was only a matter of time before he had her in his sights again, but for now, he planned to relish in the hunt.
He would have fun chasing her down.
Ah... Life was pretty cool, right? Quickly forgetting her doubts, Kat was in an excellent mood in the days that followed. She quickly became insuffurable for Jou, as she clearly wanted to gloat about something but never did, only smiling stupidly.
At least, the atmosphere at home was joyful, and it became contagious. Which suited Adam perfectly, reminding him of home.
But quickly, Kat felt the need to feel again the pull of danger. After a few days avoding the underground, she began to feel the need for more adrenaline. But just fighting someone would not do the trick. She needed to see Kaiba again. Oh, not for a duel, she wasn't ready to lose yet. But to take the risk of being spotted. To go see him without being seen.
Just for the thrill.
She hummed happily as she finished to dress herself. Big Kaibaland hoodies, a blue leggings to match. The curls of her hair totally free with blue taint on the tips of the strands. She completed the outfit with large round sunglasses with blue lenses, and her electric KaibaCorp Rollerblades at her feet, in walking mode. She looked at herself in the mirror, satisfied.
KaibaCorp was organizing an event today in Kaibaland. Seto Kaiba himself would be here, for an autograph session for his fans. It would be mostly children from what she heard, but she volunteered to accompany the children from an orphanage located in a neighborhood under her gang's protection. She would make a good deed, and the children loved her anyway. Of course she would not take her duel disk with her, who knows if the CEO could scan it or something.
When she arrived at the event, with a flood of kids arround her, and that she saw Kaiba, her heart skipped a beat. Will he recognize her? No, impossible. Her outfit was hidding her shape, not to mention that she no longer looked like a criminal at all. Even the fact that she was surrounded by children, sort of hidding her height.
She spent her time looking at him as he was speaking to the children, looking away before he could meet her gaze. She even allowed herself to laugh—a sincere and joyful laugh—as she watched the children play happily.
After all, he never heard her voice, right?
Any trace of her smile vanished quickly at that, and she folded her arms, her eyes ready to burn holes in the person before her.
She knows what they are. She recognises that there is more than one spirit within that body, and she knows one of them isn’t human.
A fact that, while not ideal, she was willing to ignore.
But she has very little patience for rudeness, especially from someone controlling someone else’s body.
“Really. That seems a little uncalled for, especially considering your position… This girl is not your home, and if you want me to let that slide, you will start acting a little nicer. Identify yourself now.”
Xeras thought a moment, squinting his eyes. It's been like... 16 years that he left the spirit world? He was curious if they all remembered his misdeeds. Especially if this magician was who he thought she was.
He stood straight, raising his arms, fingers towards the sky. "I agree. I should have introduced myself sooner. So you would have understand that you weren't talking to a small fry. "
A crazy smile distorted Kat's face. "I am Xeras, and I'm the one that enslaved many powerful dragons that your kind had the stupidity to consider like friends, magician. And even if it's not me who decided to live in this body, you will not. Make. Me. Go away. "
Xeras was actually deadly terrified that she could actually make him go. To kill him or making him go back to the spirit world. He loved the joy of earthly sensations far too much.
The woman was taller than him, but Chopper remained confident in his abilities. This human almost certainly found it odd that someone his size would be so ready to talk back, considering how a fight between them seemed like it would go. However, Chopper was no child, nor was he as weak as he seemed. In addition to transforming at any time, the boy could flee from stronger opponents with the agility of a cheetah in his feral form. Still, he saw no reason to show his abilities if this woman was as harmless as she seemed.
"Part of the what? Planet!? You're from space!?" Chopper took a few steps backward as he stared wide-eyed at the woman, his body now shaking. His eyes sparkled with excitement as he realized he was getting to speak to an alien. "What's Imperium? Is that like your evil empire? Are you fighting Space Fascists!?"
Kat put a hand to her chest, almost moved.
Oh this little guy was so lucky not to run into an Inquisitor.
Also fascist ? What was that ? She didn't know. Surely a primitive Xenos word that wasn't correctly translated.
"Oh no no no, I am part of the Imperium of Mankind, the greatest civilization of the Galaxy. We are the good guys. And we fight against the greatest evil of all."
She will not mention that for a big part of her kind, this little man was part of the enemies too.
"I come from the stars, yup, with my space ship. I can show you if you want." She reached out her hand. "My shuttle isn't far away, with my camp. If you come with me, I can offer you something to drink and eat ? Recaf ? Cake ? Or drugs if it's something that you prefer."
"So you recognize me." She must have watched Battle City broadcasts. And she must know Jounouchi.
He laughed when she suddenly started running away. It was amsuing. Only a moment ago she was so confident and now she was running tail between her legs.
However, he wasn't going to let her get away. He shot an energy ball at her.
Xeras could feel that something was arriving at fast speed behind them. Not knowing if the timing would be good, he used his shadow magic to teleport Kat slightly on the side. Sadly it wasn't enough and the energy ball brushed her shoulder, making her fall and roll further away. She disappeared behind a big garbage can, silence settling in the alley.
Having taken back the control of her body, Kat did her best to not make a sound despite the pain, Xeras' magic already trying to heal her injury.

Why was she acting like a stalker, in the cold evening? Oh right, because Jou was a spoilsport and didn't want to organise a party where she could finally talk to his friend Honda.
A few years ago, she would have understand him being cautious, but now, Kat could totally control Xeras, she was no threat to these friends. Poor Kat was totally obvious of the real reason.
Anyway, her plan was simple. She knew that Honda was finishing work at the factory soon, and that he will walk by the street near the park to go home. She just needed to act like she just saw him, surprised, and start the conversation, since he at least knew who she was.
A plan that would be perfect, if some pricks didn't decide that she was a isolated perfect victim for their dubious flirt. The poor guys were deadly wrong about that but after all, she was sitting on a bench, with a big hoodie, it would be hard for them to understand that she could beat them easily. She ignored them, annoyed, until she saw Honda further away. She stood up, making one of the guy whistle when he saw her height, and tried to go pass them, without unsuccessfully. As Honda began to be close, one of the prick had the bad idea to slap Kat's ass, and in the same motion, she turned around and hit him with an uppercut, making him fly a yard away.
"Pleasure to meet your acquaintance, ma'am." Joseph drawls, tipping his hat in Kat's direction.
"Katsuya, Joseph," He grins. "Mama's from Texas."
Kat had a big smile. "Well, well, you are very polite, aren't you? Nice to meet you, I'm Kat!"
"Texas? Like in the movies?? With the guns?" She rose her arms like she was holding a gun, clearly knowing how to use one.
