Artrist Jorge Miranda features sophisticated photomontages on his Instagram account of unknown whimsical paper cut characters in a playful setting. By inserting said characters with ordinary objects, Miranda creates a monochromatic humorous finish with an effortless approach. Each image is carefully planned and contains the perfect dose of eccentricity.

Glitched Collages By Giacomo Carmagnola

Italian artist Giacomo Carmagnola’s digitally glitched collages are inspired by David Delruelle surreal work and Ossian Brow’s eerie book, Haunted Air. Carmagnola blends a contemporary tool, photoshop with historical vintage photographs to create a digitally “glitched” effect. Also inspired by literary figures such as H.P. Lovecraft and Carlos Castaneda, Carmagnola’s purpose is to shift the perception of beauty in art. He says: 

“I see these images as an alternative beauty. I find it extremely fascinating how the same image can change so much by keeping its original ‘skeleton’. Of course they’re also visually impactful. But before this, I find them simply beautiful.”
