Sulemio Week Day 1 - Heartbeat
HAPPY SULETTA SUNDAY TO THOSE WHO CELEBRATE
can you hear my faint heartbeat?
SuleMio Week Day 1: Heartbeat/Cooking for Each Other
New Work Time! And, it's part of a fun little event! This is my first piece for SuleMio Week 2026, based on some of the earliest prompts, which you can check out on @sulemio-week-official 's page! I know it's been a while, but hopefully, all of this is a good effort to make me a little less rusty. Either way, I hope you enjoy, and do check out what everyone else is making!

CW: PTSD, Light Panic Attack
Summary: On a seemingly innocuous morning, Suletta Mercury wakes up to find her wife missingâŠ
Preview:
Suletta felt herself begin to stir, a familiar weight around her waist missing. Usually, on nearly every morning, she would wake up with her wife clung around her waist, hair all tangled, a bit of her drool ending up on Sulettaâs night shirt. It was always so cute to see Miorine, publicly so put together, laying on her all messily. She loved it.
Though, it also put her mind at ease. The careful cling of her wifeâs arms made her feel connected, touched, loved. She hadnât realized that she had become so dependent on it over the past few years until just now, when it was gone. It made her feel untethered, floating through space.

My Hero Academia: World of Masks Chapter 8 is Suddenly Out
I kind of went into a writing rush this week, and suddenly, I have another chapter. I don't expect future chapters to be this quick, but hey, whatever!

My Hero Academia: World of Masks Ch. 7 IS UP
Hi! I posted about it in my post about finishing MHA, but I've been working on this Kamen Rider/MHA fic. It's been fun to write, but I've forgotten to post about it here until now. Read it if you want, but it's ok if you don't.

My brain broke. Let's talk about MHA's missed potential
Hey, uh, sorry I haven't posted here in ages. My anxiety issues and other mental health issues I'm not going to get diagnosed until the country I live in stops being so fascistic about it kind of spiked this year (I'm sure you can understand why), and I just needed some time to myself. In that time, I did a decent amount of things, I think, and one of those was finding my ass thrust right back into Kohei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia, after an ill-advised purchase of the absolute masterpiece that is the SHF Deku.
Anyhow, I started reading it (My first exposure was seeing the first two seasons in middle school), getting far too many figures (That Revoltech Mirko is absolutely insane), and even writing a goddamn Kamen Rider crossover fanfiction about it. But, like, even still, MHA does suck.
Okay, that might be a bit of an exaggeration. To me, the series is, like a 7/10, that mostly stays at that point, but sometimes is a 2/10 and sometimes is a 10/10. That's probably why I can actually write a fanfic about it. Stuff I adore more (One Piece, Chainsaw Man, etc.), while better by magnitudes, are more like what I want it to be. MHA, on the other hand, in its failings, sparks my brainwaves to write my own stuff, more to my own tastes.
But, like, the thing is, it could have been better, you know. It's not so frustratingly bad that it feels irredeemable. It's not a Zack Snyder film. It's, like, seeing a kid almost do a cool trick, only to fall on their face in the final spin. Which is what makes it more fascinating to think about.
Let's stop beating around the bush, the reason this fails is because its ending refuses to be radical and revolutionary in its vision of change. Now, this isn't to say that a work can't be good while being generally politically centrist. The problem is that it walks right up to the line of this sort of political revolution, one that envisions a radical future, only to step back at the final moments in favor of the status quo.
