Tooting my own horn for a second.
So, I’d never toot my own horn like this anywhere but here but this last weekend I have given given given. I’m the Class NCO (in charge) of my class in my MOS school here in the Marine Corps and this weekend I have been doing very little besides helping my Marines.
I had Marines of mine that went on leave and I made sure that their different houses and dogs were taken care of. I even did a little work on one of their cars to ensure it lasted them a while before they had to take it to the shop.
I helped people with homework.
Even drove one of my Marines to the hospital and got him accounted for and signed into the system. Both at the hospital and back at the barracks. I notified my class commander and kept track of all the Marines who went on Special Liberty and on Leave.
I cooked a Thanksgiving Dinner for the Marines that couldn’t make it home like myself and needed a place to have family. And be sure that all of our fellow Marines are our brothers and sisters.
I gave Marines haircuts that needed them. I drove people places that they needed to go.
I don’t mean to brag but I am a good person. And I don’t know if its the good Karma but my dad won $75,000 in fantasy football today so I’m going to bed feeling happy. EXHAUSTED. But happy.
